  1. Just finished reading Warthog: Flying the A-10 in the Gulf War by William Smallwood for about the third time, and with all this hoopla regarding a new kit, I’m going to get one for sure.
  2. Great job! Love seeing more Cobras.
  3. Hi Kursad, I thought about dropping this in on the future topics thread for your decals first, but figured there would be enough knowledge out here to piece it all together. The group build starts in August so if you have plans for a future sheet prior to that then I’d be more than happy to wait! I’ve come across only 2-3 photos of some of the aircraft, but there was quite a few of them so having options for buzz numbers would be nice.
  4. So I will be participating in a F-86 Sabre group build later this year and have been putting together some decal sheets and kits for options. My main goal is to construct a representation of a camouflage Sabre that could be found amongst various nations across the globe. Originally I was going to go with something from Aztec Models Latin American Sabres or Hi-Decals Iranian Sabres. Then I came across photos of Canadair Sabre Mk. 4s being ferried to Italy and that will be my subject. It is just so unique. Anyway I am in a conundrum as I do not know what to do about the white lettering. I do not
  5. Great job. Very informative on the AM parts used and painting the intake. Appreciate that tidbit. The MiG killer has been on my list of 'to-do' for a while so nice to see it.
  6. where do you put the ones stored away if there’s no space?
  7. I believe Speedhunter Graphics just covered these.
  8. I would say it is highly plausible that he didn't have an assigned aircraft and flew all three that we have photographic evidence of him being with. From what I have seen 'Dream Girl' has 4 kill stars and 'FAYE' has 1. Kill stars on the right side of the aircraft denotes how many the aircraft itself takes credit for and unfortunately there aren't any pictures of him standing on the left side of an F-86 which would show the pilot's credited kills. Even though it was likely that the video of him taxing in 'FAYE' and recounting one of his previous missions was entirely for propaganda purposes, th
  9. A few for thought: 1) a new tooled 1/48 AH-1F (to include later Israeli Tzefa upgrades with markings for Turkey, Jordan, and Philippines) 2) a newly tooled 1/48 OH-58D Kiowa Warrior that is more detailed than the sparse and scarce Italeri. 3) a newly tooled 1/48 AH-1T ( this needs to have markings for both Cobras with HMM-261 that were shot down during Operation Urgent Fury) 4) a newly tooled 1/48 AH-1J (with Iranian markings included) 5) 1/48 AH-1J Iranian Toufan-2 (this is their upgraded J with flat-plate canopy and avionics) 6) more detailed 1/48 UH-1H that
  10. Can I get a quote on shipping to 76052 on the SU-35?
  11. HS-2 from the late 80's in low-vis markings. Used in the film "The Hunt For Red October."
  12. Interested in the Isracast 1:48 AH-1S IAF $25. 76052 is my zip code.
  13. Which Su-35S kit and Begemot decals are they?
  14. I live in Austin. I'll be there. First time too.
  15. What a beast! I've always loved the lines on the Merkava, kinda like a brute sports car of the tank world. Great job.
  16. Told ya😉 Looks awesome Andrew, truly awesome.
  17. Probably try and do a run of 6 miles. I say try because it's all dependent upon how exhausted I am just from raising my kids haha.
  18. I've got mine, plus the Fox One sheet so I'm good 👍
  19. Wow that's impressive. Nice touch with the suit of armor!
  20. She's a real beauty Eric! I bought my first one a few weeks ago but I don't plan on getting to it for a while. I sincerely hope mine turns out as nice as yours!
  21. Probably a lot of the same reasons that nose art for Thuds was downplayed during Vietnam. "Non-regulation" and that sort of excuse.
  22. Livery is wicked. The battle damage is a very nice touch as well.
