  9. Hi Edgar, I guess one could say that it was an early attempt at an IFF system. What made me think that the aft faceing light were not colored was when I built Tamiya's 1/48th scale Dambuster Lanc., and was instructed to leave the "bulbs clear on the aft wing tip lights. And as I clear the cob webs from my brain I do recall hearing about the infra red bulbs. Thanks again Gary

Love your work. Wouldn't it be great if we all could get together and display our CH-53's in one place? I think we would need a big room. Gary

  21. Ive acualy had MM universal thinner disolve fine detail ie instrument faces on an early Revell 1/48th F-104. Gary
  22. I would be careful to use alcohol on paint. I've used vinagar as a setting solution with some success.Solvaset can ruin a decal if applied in too strong of solution. I found that it will work on Monogram decals if watered down by about 50% or more then using full strengh carfully later after drying. I going to try The Micro scale stuff to see if I get better results. Solvaset has been a problem with some decals ie (DML).Gary
  23. Raised panel lines can be a plus if they are painted black first as an under coat. Then with light sanding on the top coat you have beautiful panels. I tried it on an A-37 even before it can out in FSM. Gary
  24. I too have a F-86F-30 in progress along with Tamiya's Mig 15bis. I'm going to use Testors silver over grey plastic and black patches. For the center anodized wing section i'll coat it with clear flat and future the rest. Gary
