That is going to be a fantastic looking plane! Can't wait to see it progress. -
The teardrop shaped bulge for the Coffman starter is just below and slightly ahead of the first exhaust stack on the right side of the nose on a Mk.II. This photo of a rebuilt Mk.II shows the blister clearly, but does not have the correct era exhausts or spinner: http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/types/uk/super...III/spits14.jpg Ultracast makes a resin 1/48 conversion with the correct prop blades, spinner and Coffman blister: http://www.ultracast.ca/products/48/113/default.htm

From what I've read that is a possibility and WEM has it in their British WWII paint line.

Wolfpack did, and if I read their site correctly it's going to be reissued: http://www.wolfpack-d.com/catalog/htm/48013.html

Very attractive scheme! I've never seen that one before.

And unfortunately habu2's site is offline and apparently will remain that way for the foreseeable future.

Those are the JPS Modell paint order numbers.

I really like the Pt. Mugu one. I'd also be interested as to whether someone in the states is selling them.

Looking at the photos of the two cockpits in "Detail and Scale Vol.26 F6F Hellcat" to my eyes, while there are a couple of minor differences in switch position, you should be able to put the -5 cockpit in the -3. I just don't see anything glaring that would prevent you from doing so.
-
I'd also be interested in knowing the details on that, as I have an AM that I'd like to get updated parts for.

Heck of a great series of photos.

Very attractive build!

Now that would be extremely helpful.

I'm pretty sure the Cobra Company set is the only SH-60F conversion out there.

I'm not sure these will add much to what you already have but they're the only ones I had on my hard drive:

Where can I find WEM paint in the US?

I also order direct from WEM and they are very fast when it comes to delivery times. -
Three C-17s, a C-5 and a few F-15s at Hickam AFB.

Incredible work Pete.

Well, I don't really see where he said in the interview that they are or are not doing the F-5E. Yes, he mentions getting involved in 1/48 projects but not what those projects might be. With all that said, I certainly hope we do see a new tool 1/48 F-5E.
