  1. Ben, mine's actually in very good shape, no warping or anything like that, though it does appear to be just a little "wasp-waisted". But I think I got one of the second edition kits. (I picked it up here on ARC so I don't know when they originally bought it) It's going to take quite a bit of sanding to attach the wing/belly assembly to the fuselage though. I found that out today because I wanted to attach the wings to the fuselage and then compare it to my nearly complete MD-80. That's where I got the measurements for you, so they come pretty much from the two kits side-by-side. I think eventu
  2. That will probably work extremely well. I just measured the kit fuselages themselves vs. where the wing centerlines are. It will be a bit difficult, though not impossible however, to use the window frame method on the Minicraft MD-80 as the windows are not molded on that kit, nor are they molded on the In-Formation kit. (something I prefer, so I don't have to fill them in)
  3. Okay, MD-80 dimensions: http://www.airliners.net/aircraft-data/stats.main?id=109 B717 dimensions: http://www.airliners.net/aircraft-data/stats.main?id=111 When converted to 1/144 and mm that would be a difference in length of 51mm total. (MD-80 313mm vs. B717 262mm) With that I went back and remeasured the difference between Minicraft MD-80 fuselage and the In-Formation fuselage and came up with about a 52mm difference, so they appear to be pretty close to right, at least in proportion. So comparing the two it appears you need to remove 30mm forward of the wings and 22mm aft of the wings.
  4. Whoa, I need to look at this a bit closer. I just measured my Minicraft MD-80 vs. the In-Formation B717 fuselages and I came up with 40mm forward and 26mm aft of the wing. Let me check some actual dimensions though.
  5. I'm not sure I've ever seen anyone get this far without pitching the build out the window. Great work!
  6. Just an amazing piece of work. Fantastic!
  7. Diego, I emailed you about a preorder of this sheet but haven't heard anything back. I just wanted to make sure you got my email. Thanks!
  8. Bob has replied to that: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....howtopic=179620
  9. Are you sure it was here on ARC? I checked all the posts you've made here and there aren't any concerning the F-4. Did you change your ARC user name recently? Here are all the posts that are listed for you on ARC: http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index....sult_type=posts Now with that said, when ARC went down for a few days a couple weeks ago I'm sure it's possible that your topic was a victim.

  11. I really like the Atlant-Soyuz. Very attractive markings.
  12. Boy, that's looking fantastic! Can't wait to see this one progress.
  13. No, they're made of a rubbery material. I've used both CA and five min. epoxy with them.
  14. A 1/48 Eduard AVIA B.534 III.série from Jennings.
  15. But it has the hard wing I believe. (early F-4E)
  16. The new Vector 1/48 P-51D wheel well set and 1/48 Linden Hill Decals "Iraqi Fighters", both from Linden Hill.
  17. Great site. I hadn't seen that particular one before.
  18. From what I understand they were often removed in the field because of mechanical issues.
  19. I'd also really like to know that too. I'd certainly buy another one to get the right parts.
  20. I've seen some pretty wide variances in camo. patterns, so this profile and photo may help a little:
  21. There's a very good chance it relates to the markings that are provided in the kit: the planes they depict on the decal sheet may not have had the CCIP update yet. You'll probably want to look at photos of the plane you plan to build to see if the "bird slicers" are required or not.
  22. 1/48 Saab Viggen corrected foreplanes, vertical stab/rudder, nose and A-4 300 gal. drop tanks, all from TwoMikes.
