  1. You all are completely missing the point. I am aware of the shipping delays associated with surface shipping. That isn't the problem. The problem is that it seems that Luckymodel took my order and my money three months ago...and NEVER SHIPPED the order. Furthermore they never noticed that they hadn't shipped the order until I asked them about it. And after they figured it out...they seem to think that I'm ok with them just putting the order on another container at some undefined point in the future so I can start the surface mail shipping clock again, rather than prioritizing my order and
  2. First I want to say that I've used Luckymodel for four previous orders since 2015 with satisfactory results, but I wanted to share my most recent experience. And for what it's worth, I have already contacted Luckymodel through their messaging system and I've also sent Raymond Chung a private message through ARC (without a response yet). On October 16 of last year I ordered a GWH 1/48 Su-27 and a Meng 1/24 GT40 Mark II from Luckymodel. They were both listed as In Stock on the website and I selected surface mail, knowing that it would probably take a couple of months for them to ar
  3. Benchworks also did some 1/48 resin P&W R-2800 engines...which at the time were among the more accurate available and included different ignition/magneto/prop governor arrangements depending upon the version of the engine. Cameron
  4. Why don't you actually be responsive to the OP's question? He didn't ask about Kirrey, or RESKIT or Aires or Eduard. He must have a specific reason for asking about Benchworks. Benchworks was run by Kevin "Suds" Suddharth from Colorado Springs. He passed away in 2015. I used to have some of his stuff. He did do some intakes and exhausts for Hasegawa 1/48 Phantoms. He also did nifty little inserts for the engine accessory doors that are open on the belly so that it looked like there were actual engines in there...the only other people to do that were Aires. Unfortunately I do
  5. Sorry it took me a few days to reply. The high visibility markings on Kee Bird were Insignia Red.
  6. Would you be interested in scaling that beauty up to 1/48 for my HpH B-36 kit? No? Ok, how about 1/72 for all of us Peacemaker fans who have a Monogram kit in the stash?
  7. Well. Can probably help you with that. Happy to loan references to you understanding I get them back in same condition. There is quite a bit of stuff produced over the years on the Vietnam Air War in the 70s and 80s.
  8. With the release of the spectacular Fine Molds kits (F-4C, F-4D, F-4E, F-4J, F-4EJ/kai)...I've been looking for some 1/72 SEA decals. The only set to show up on E*** in the last 3 months was a set of Cutting Edge decals with some markings for Steve Ritchie that sold last night for 51GBP! For us yanks...that is $70...plus shipping. https://www.ebay.com/itm/203612324203 I know that 1/72 is a little out of your wheelhouse, but some nice 1/72 sheets for the Fine Molds Phantoms...particularly some SEA schemes would probably be a strong seller. I know I'd be a purchaser.

  10. You still working on/planning to release your 1/48 FJ-3 updates? Just managed to add one to the stash. Cameron
  11. Is the digital hogs sheet available? Can't seem to find it on your website? Getting ready for the Phase Hangar stuff. Cameron
  12. Remember that during the summer months, a lot of European companies shut down for periods of time for vacations. It can take several weeks to hear back from them. If you really want the kit, you'll need to be patient.
  13. I'd love to see some reprints of the 1/144 C-5 sheets and the C-133 sheet. They're like hens teeth to find for those of us asleep at the switch when they first came out. Cameron
  14. Well. After over two months and no response to emails/messages, I filed a claim with the Paypal resolution center. Waited seven days and still didn't get a response and then escalated it and asked for a refund. After another week and just before Paypal would have refunded my money, I get a shipping notification in my email saying that Shadow Hobby was sending me my cutter and extra blades. But other than that...I still NEVER heard from Shadow Hobby. If I get the tool I'll have been made whole. But I would suggest to anyone considering ordering from Shadow Hobby. Don't. There are other
  15. I really would love to see some good decals for the first UN air-to-air kill of the Korean War when Lt. William Hudson and Lt. Carl Fraser of the 68th FS(AW) in F-82G 46-383 shot down a North Korean Yak-7U on June 25, 1950.
  16. Well it's now been two months since I ordered a Thinnerline circle cutter and an extra set of blades for it from Shadow Hobby. Thus far I've not gotten my order. I've emailed them a couple of times. I've messaged them on FB a couple of times. If I could ever find a phone number I would have called them. Haven't heard a whisper in response. This seems to be a common issue with Shadow Hobby. Life is too short and dealing with people like this is more aggravating than just pulling out my Sizzix Eclips2 and some vinyl and cutting whatever I need. For those of you thinking about doing business wi
  17. I've been trying to find the whole kit without success...so I thought I'd see if anyone out there has the kit and isn't going to use the Indian Air Force markings on the decal sheet. If you do...please drop me a note. Thanks in advance! Cameron
  18. The new Roden 1/144 B-36D with the outboard jet pods is available on that popular auction site. Very keen. I need a 1/144 Peacemaker to go with my 1/72 and 1/48 examples. Of the 3 it is the only one I have room in the case to display.
  19. Yes. I've got a set. But they came out several years ago and were even difficult to source then.
  20. Because people like more choices. When I spend 4-6 months and a hundred plus hours building something...I'd like the option to use some high quality decals that didn't necessarily come in the same box that everyone else who bought that model also has. Plus in a number of cases aftermarket decals are better researched and include better paint/markings information. The decals are sometimes the last thing that kit manufacturers worry about or spend resources on.
  21. I special ordered them. I also wanted mine in lacquer...which was more complicated than matching them in enamels. You'll need to contact Mike about them, and how he wants to sell them. Cameron
  22. Between the newish Kinetic Sea Harrier, a couple of Super Entendard kits, the new Kinetic Harrier GR.3 and Pucara along with the Kinetic/Wingman Daggers...about the only kits that are hard to come by are the Hasegawa Skyhawks. I figured that Xtradecal would spew out a bunch of new Falklands sheets...but they haven't. There's only a couple of Sea Harrier markings, a single Harrier. If you are lucky you might have picked up one of the Aztec sheets a few years ago. Seems a pity. There is enough reference material and subjects that you could almost do a sheet per major aircraft typ
  23. The best single reference, hands down, is the Ginter Naval Fighters volume. I cannot recommend it enough. FWIW I have an original Grumman stenciling diagram for the F8F. I made a sheet for myself that I printed on my ALPS for my Denver NAS Reserve Bearcat. I might be persuaded...
