  1. Building a model for a high school buddy who's father went MIA flying an F-111 from Takhli in 1972. If you know anyone/anyplace that has a sheet I'd appreciate the help. Thanks. Cameron
  2. Long story short. I had a couple of key decals get destroyed. Now I've got a kit that is literally 99.9% done sitting on my modeling desk and I need to find another set of the decals to finish it off. :-( It is Airway Graphics International sheet A4-141 for American Airlines DC-6b's in 1/144th. Anyone who would be willing to part with one or has a tip on where to find one, I'd be very appreciative. I'm in a bad spot, so I'd be willing to pay above retail prices if necessary. Cameron

  4. Want to build Broughton's bird in 1/48 and need a clear shot of the nose art. TIA Cameron
  5. I'm looking for a set of the 1/72 Seamless Suckers intakes for the Fujimi F-4K/M Phantom. Thanks in advance. Cameron Lynch

  7. They're 1/72. Thanks for the compliment.
  8. You mean something like these? I detailed up one from a Hasegawa weapons set. Out of the box, those only vaguely resemble the real thing from 10 feet away from the model. I popped it in some rubber...a little pressure casting and whoila... I've been thinking about dropping either Dr. Pepper or Modern Hobbies to see if they'd be interested in the master. You'd still need to do some work on the weapons pallets to make them fit (I don't think it'd make sense to cast the weapons pallets too and casting them would be a little tricky). I'm seriously jonesing for those F-14 wheels though.
  9. It looks like you've got the panel lines above the cockpit for the in-flight refueling receptacle that was found on the B-50 (also kitted by Academy). You might want to double check your references but I'm 100% certain that you would never find those on a WWII B-29. They might have been retrofitted to B-29s after 1948 but I doubt it. Keep up the great work. Cameron
  10. I'm looking for suggestions on matching the weird dark grey gunmetal shade of USN sidewinder nose/fins and sparrow fins. TIA Cameron
  11. I can't find anything on the net, or in my references that legibly show the actual text on the prominent sticker found on the sides of USN LANTIRN pods (as used on Bombcats). Anyone have a shot they could either send me or direct me to? I'm working on some stencils for my 1/72 Bombcat. Thanks in advance.

  13. Trying to track a set of these down. I accidentally damage my only set and have a build in progress that I'd like to use them on. I understand these are getting hard to find and will pay a reasonable amount. Thanks and best wishes. Cameron

  15. Thanks for the intel. I appreciate the help. I've got the Hasegawa weapons sets on order so I'll be good to go with the racks. If the weapons pallets turn out ok I might drop them in rubber and cast some up. I've already done the GPS dome and have the HUD. The sidestick controller will be easy. The RIO display is going to be a little more tricky as I've already got the Aires F-14B cockpit installed in the fuselage. Naturally I figured out that it's wrong AFTER I got it installed with devcon epoxy. Live and learn. I'm using the Two Bobs sheet 72-040. If you need a scan of the instruct
  16. I'm working on F-14B Tarps 163217 Modex 103 from VFA-103. I'd love to know whether I need the updated RIO pit. I'm interested that nobody has mention the F-14B using a HUD as well unless I'm mistaken. Cameron
  17. That's exactly what I needed to hear. Thanks. Cameron
  18. I'm in for the build. I've got the Hasegawa 1/72 F-14B Tomcat "Jolly Rogers VF-103" kit 00613. I'm wondering if anyone makes an aftermarket conversion to make a 1/72 F-14 Bombcat? I've been unable to track anything down. The kit includes one "Z" sprue from the Hasegawa weapons set VII. The biggest problem is that Hasegawa included the instructions from the F-14B Tomcat "Grim Reapers" kit K113 that doesn't include any information on what parts to use from the Z sprue or where. I'll probably be able to piece that together looking at the DACO F-14 book. What I'm looking for specifically ar
  19. I think I need to clarify. I've got the Hasegawa 1/72 F-14B Tomcat "Jolly Rogers VF-103" kit 00613. The kit includes one "Z" sprue from the Hasegawa weapons set VII. I'll probably be able to piece that together looking at the DACO F-14 book. What I'm looking for specifically are a set of two forward and two aft F-14 weapons pallets (the old Phoenix missile mounts) with the BRU-32 bomb racks and ADU
  20. I'm trying to track down a set of bombcat fuselage pylons for a 1/72 Hasegawa F-14B. I have been unable to find any aftermarket sources. Before I spend two days scratchbuilding new pylons, does anyone have a potential source? Thanks in advance. Cameron
