I've been using Vallejo Air Gloss Cote for the first time. Not happy with it at all. Even after two coats finish was still satin and very rough like sandpaper. What I'm doing wrong. I was thinning it with their own thinner and sprayed at 15-20 psi. Only way for me to get real gloss finish was really thick coat, but this way I'll ruin all panel lines. But the worst problem is cleaning the airbrush, which is really difficult. I have used window cleaner, 96% alcohol, lacquer thinner, acetone, but nothing work good for me. There is a white gummy thing which stays and sticks on the bottom of the c

I want to try Tamiya colors for the first time. I know that Tamiya XF-62 isn't good match for Olive Drab 41 or ANA 613. I'm currently building Accurate Miniatures Mustangs P-51, A-36 and P-51A. I also don't know the best way to fade Olive Drab. I have read a lot about it, but I still don't know if is the best to add yellow, tan, white or something else. And how about XF-53; is it good match for 43 Neutral Grey?

You can also use stencil cutter SC-1 from Olfa. http://www.olfatools.eu/product.php?id_product=78

I agree that the quality of the kit is somewhere equal to a Academy, that the kit has a lot of options and is maybe a nice kit, but not great. I think it is something like ICM (maybe even same mold). I didn't mean that the kit is total trash, I just said that if you want the best 109, buy Hasegawa, because it is simply the best kit on the market. You can also sometimes get Hasegawa for 20$.

I didn't build it, but I have take a quick look inside the box. Belive me, you don't want it. It is not even near Hasegawa, Tamiya or Eduard standards. For now your only and the best option for Me 109 F, G or K is Hasegawa. Fujimi is good too, but not as much as Hasegawa.

Thank you all for your help. Wow, what a beautiful doll. I'll have one just like that (in 1/48). Kit decals? Maybe I'll try Gunze Super Metallics since Gunze is my favorite paint. I've read only good things about Talon line too, but I don't know where to buy it. Is there any American shop who still ship colors in Europe? I don't know if we can even buy Mr. Color lacquers in the future, since I have heard they are already banned in Europe. Thanks God that we still have Hong Kong, but how long?

I'm looking for best finish for Tamiya Mustangs and Thunderbolts in my stash. I've never done NMF finish before. I have decided to go with Alcad II lacquers, which I belive they are the best. I've read everything about Alcad and its usage, but I still haven't found the answer which is the best shade of Alcad to go for. I will go for one basic and two or three shades for panels. What shade is the best to go for basic and what for panels? What is the best shade for silver painted wings on Mustangs? Was wings on Thunderbolts painted silver too? I'm thinking to go with aluminium, duraluminium, dar
