  1. Firefox red page appears just the first time in every session, once you skip that it will not reappear until the next Firefox restart or system re-boot.
  2. Just bought an Hasegawa F-15J 1/48 in one of the early boxing (P9 07009) that I would like to build as the 303 Tactical Fighter Squadron "HakuRyu" shown at 2003 TAC Meet (the well known "White Dragon") and I need a few info from Eagles experts. I have read that this first release is quite a hit and miss around F-15J details and that later release have a new Fuselage sprue but I found nothing more specific about this. I will add an Aires cockpit: should I look for the early or late version? I have no references of this particular airframe and I think the Aires late versi
  3. Hi all, love to see this forum online again; Just a question about search function: it seems that if the search string is too short it returns no result (same happens on Britmodeller forum driven by the same software); is there a way to fix this? (for example: Jet Modeling subforum, search for "F-15", 0 result).
  4. Hi Berkut, can you explain in detail? Expecially the second point.
  5. he also own and fly a Fokker Dr.I replica: He fly with "The Great War Display Team"
  6. I remember to have read that it can take off full armed but with a reduced fuel load; so in an hypothetical war mission it could be flown off the deck fully armed and refuelled in air by a tanker or by another Su33. Need to dig in my books to find sources...
  7. A few steps ahead...not really a step by step in-progress. Almost everything fit inside: Other fuselage side: Almost ready for a glosscote and some oils...
  8. Sincere Hobby has it in stock at 64.22$, I spent 20$ shipping to Italy.
  9. AKAN set 47326 for new scheme and set 47302 for old scheme
  10. Pe2 tooling is really outstanding but also there are a lot of extractor marks: Mig31 and Su33 are a further step forward.
  11. Gabor comment on my Su33 build: My link Concur with seat is really beautiful...
  12. Eduard Brassin if you like PE harnesses, Quickboost/Aires with molded harnesses. I also like Neomega but it is said it has shape issues with headrest.
  13. As said in my other build thread job left few time for hobby in the last month, so this build is going quite slow; I have also not a good feeling working with glasses right now, but my eyesight needs them now... Engine is built mostly OOb, with only ignition cables added. The kit is a gem just swap step 7 and 8 in instruction: engine mount should be in place before the piping...

  15. Armory is also a physical shop, I have always had great communication with them for whatever problem (I bought several times from them as they were my primary resource for Russian items) also had friends from UA coming in Italy collecting my order from shop. Great service!
  16. Fantastic work as usual Chuck! A pleasure to follow your builds trying to learn from your experience. Just a question about materials used: Odorless Turpenoid seems not available here in Europe, what about Winsor&Newton "Sansodor"? Could it be a good substitute?
  17. Only a small update for now; I feel main wheels are a little too square in section so I am trying to correct this but not yet satisfied with result; I also assembled front gear leg, but again I was not satisfied with landing lights: instructions are wrong as they call for the small lamp in the wrong position with the smaller one in the bottom position instead of: switching the two lamps is not enough so I cleaned all the lamp supports: I will make new supports from sheet metal...after beating the carpet monster that caught one lamp While thinking about next steps I also started thi
  18. While end of 2015 brought us two gems like Mig31 and Su33, a few weeks earlier Zvezda released this little one for propeller addicted modelers :woot.gif:/> Detail of the kit is amazing, no need for resin here: as usual I prefer to build subassemblies with same color, here the cylinder block: the engine mount: some of the piping: and the radiator, the only part needing some filler: Only drawback of this kit it has only one engine...
  19. Decals seems good, but I have Begemot too, with full stencil data for Su27... I will go with Begemot.
  20. As it seems kit dimension is important here just a couple of measure: red for Academy, blue for Kinetic
  21. Does anybody know something about this kit? Revell 2016
  22. Sorry for the pictures, it was not my intention to check the dimension, but it was asked in another thread to have the two kit compared; it was easier to align the rear fuselage to keep them together but even considering the lens perspective is quite obvious the Kinetic cockpit is well haead Academy one, also speed brake is ahead the Academy counterpart, same for the bottom fuselage where front wheel well position is obviously different. Considering it's age, the Academy one is still a nice kit, and IMHO it's a nice representation of a Flanker without canards.
  23. Academy kit is short, as Flankerman said, but kept same proportion for the fuselage so the side looking of the plane is ok; width is in scale so we have slightly wrong angles for wing leading and trailing edge, but the error here is minimal; due the short lenght and correct proportion for the fuselage the cockpit is slightly smaller, like 1/49 scale, but is mostly noticeable from canopy glass. For a vanilla Su27 it builds well and nice looking too, but when you add canards the short fuselage is quite clear with winglets too close to main wings. Someone took major surgery trying to correct t
  24. This time they managed to place the wheel wells correctly...
