  1. Very nice sprue shots here: http://www.moxdao.com/thread-27003-1-1.html
  2. Some MFO markings would be nice. Longest deployed US Army Hueys, I believe. https://goo.gl/images/ymZLqK
  3. Sweet pics! Thanks for posting. Now the Huey IIs pictured in Afghanistan have serious contenders for the "unofficial coolest Huey ever competition".
  4. Nice renders here: https://www.sspbooks.com/USS-Alaska-Contents-s/113.htm
  5. Wow! That looks absolutely stunning! Fantastic!
  6. 11bee - lovely work! Your motivations for tackling this build are commendable, as is your resolve to see it through. Your WIP has helped keep the memory of two ordinary men - who's sacrifice made them extraordinary - in the collective consciousness, and hence, alive. Thank you for sharing their story and your build.

Hey Zacto - amazing project & a stunning debut for HazMAT. Any chance of G+ props, cockpit screen, & MX20 ball forvtge 2015/16 Iraq combat deployment?
  8. No worries! Thanks for the tip on Braz - I'll check them out.
  9. Thanks. I know about the HS review - I posted a link to that effect (third post of this thread). I couldn't see it, but I'm unfamiliar enough with the 737 that I could easily miss it, hence the question.
  10. Does this kit come with the dorsal "lump" antenna?
  11. http://www.hyperscale.com/2017/reviews/kits/zvezda737800reviewjh_1.htm HTH!
  12. Slight correction - Australia has only ordered 72 aircraft. It has a requirement for "up to 100". With a fleet of 36 (very new) Super Hornets/Growlers, I suggest the balance to bring the fleet to "up to" 100 is some time away.
  13. No topic on this, yet?
  14. It's that super intuitive UK military aviation alpha/numberic convention - you need the name to know which airframe you're talking about.
  15. Master offers a nice turned brass barrel with separate cooling jacket.
  16. It's here: http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/m/10384141 Mine turned up today. Very nice.
  17. Not used to seeing "quick" and "Tomcat" used in the same sentence! That's a lightning-fast build.
  18. Quite possibly. Shame we never repainted our D or F model Chinooks.
  19. RAAF (& subsequently Army) UH-1 weren't tri-colour, just tan & green. There were some experimental schemes, but the majority were two tone.
  20. Hang on, you could care less? So you care? Or, you couldn't care less - you don't care at all.
  21. Real life has been brutal this week, seriously hampering progress on the T50. Take three on the commander's hatch seems to be working well, thanks in part to HobbyBoss providing a three dimensional reference. Also, have started hacking up a CD case for the episcopes. Will paint the inside of the turret sea foam green so that the correct shade is visible through the epis themselves. And a side view...only another four facets to go until the rough shape of the hatch is complete. (Oh, the gap at the bottom of the spacer is intentional.) All comments welcome, as always.
  22. I guess I'll have to rewatch The Final Countdown. Nagmammit! 😂
  23. Started a scratch build 1/16 T50 turret recently. The version I'm doing is appropriate for an Australian M113A1 over a forty-year or so timeframe. The real thing: The start of mine: With spacer ring, pre-magnet: With press fit mantlet & Aber gun barrels:
  24. Thanks, Mike - love that artwork.
