    Ju87B Colours

Yeah, 3 different shades of underside blue all being used concurrently, great ain't it? ;)

    Ju87B Colours

I've always seen it painted in the underside color, RLM 65.
  3. I believe it's supposed to be natural metal.
  4. Jes, One more thing I see you're doing an Oesau bird from JG 51 in 1/72, what decals are you using? I wanted to do the top 3 LW scorers from the BoB but couldn't find anything for Oesau. Mike
  5. Jes, Cool, I used to be an ASL player, in a past life I ran a tournament in Germany called the "ASL Rally Europe" from 1990-92. Had a lot of good times, do you know Albrecht Dekker or his friend Raymond (can't recall his last name)?
  6. Thanks guys, yellow it is. I've got some decal sheets to for a couple of other white nosed 109's so I'll do one of those instead.
  7. I have a profile in Histoire and Collections "Me 109 Pt. 1" depicting Wick's 109 with a white nose. Osprey's "Bf-109D/E Aces" describing the yellow nosed version of this aircraft alludes to the fact that it may have been white previously as well. I would like to do this one but Histoire and Collections profiles are not always accurate and I have not been able to locate any photos. Does anyone have a definitive answer on whether a he flew a white nosed aircraft during the Bob? Thx- Mike
  8. I think most of the salient differences have been covered here. They really are quite similar. The Academy does have some rivet detail not present on the Hasegawa. One thing I do like about the Hasa is the solid trailing edge on the wings makes it easier to drop the flaps. Unless you have a Hasa on the shelf the only G-14 available from them is the Finland post war kit for about $15, the Academy can be had for a about $7-8 so there's a pretty big price gap.
  9. Looks great, very nice work on the paint <_<
  10. Most excellent! One of my favorite 109 schemes <_<
  11. What Stuka unit sported the Shark Mouth? Did the unit participate in the BoB with these markings? Thanks, -Mike
  12. Did the Do-17 have the capability to carry external bombs ala the He-111 and Ju-88? If so does someone have a pic of what the hard point looks like? I'm thinking of doing one in addition to my 109 and have never gotten over my boyhood fascination with hanging bombs on aircraft anywhere I can. -Mike
  13. Ricrado, The H6 kit has different nose glazing, nacelles, and props from the H2/H3 kit. Only one set of these items are included in the kit so you wouldn't be able to build an accurate BoB 111 from the H6 kit without some mods.
  14. Hasegawa now makes an He-111H2/H3 which is a derivation of the same kit. They might even be exactly the same kits with optional parts to build both. I've got both kits so I'll take a look and get back to you tomorrow.
  15. Gorgeous! Your NMF is top notch!
  16. The Hasegawa and Academy are also devoid of any detail on the rear canopy deck, necessitating a P/E or resin replacement since this is pretty noticable.
  17. Nice collection of Dora's Jes! I've got one of each in my display case- Tamiya, Hasegawa, and Academy. The Tamiya kit is my favorite but the other two kits are nice as well.
  18. The Academy is a nice alternative and the price is right, but it's missing the braces that run from the area underneath the canopy to the engine cowling. This is a rather prominent feature of the Dora, don't know how that got left out. These could be scratch bulit I suppose though. The kit would be a strong contender with Tamiya if this was corrected, but I'd rather just spend the extra money on the Tamiya.
  19. I would go with the Tamiya. The Hasegawa has virtually no cockpit detail and is missing much of the surface detail present on the Tamiya kit. They both build up into nice kits but I much prefer Tamiya's version.
