  1. Sell off some of those Shermans and you'll have plenty of cash!
  2. Both are correct. Breaking down the code: M8=ZG 76, A=1st aircraft in Staffel, L=3rd Staffel. As aircraft were upgraded or replaced the code M8+AL would have simply been applied to another aircraft. Numerous aircraft would have carried this same code throughout the history of the wing. I believe some time in 1943 there was a directive stating that the Geschwader code (first two letters) were to be applied in the smaller size.
  3. I believe the B-17 will be done by Martin's original Chinese partner, along with the late model B-25's.
  4. Hal, banners are in the works. Should be up fairly soon.
  5. I'm going to attempt to do a Spanish Civil War Bf 109D-1 flown by Werner Mölders, "6-79" of 3./J88. I'll be using the Eduard 1/32 Bf 109E-1 along with the Alley Cat Bf 109D conversion set. I also have a 1/32 Silver Wings He 51 in the stash that I might do, time permitting.
  6. Dave, hey old buddy! Great to see you back!

  8. Welcome to the Pre-War Early War Group Build! Rules for this one will be pretty simple: 1. Any aircraft operational from 1935-June 1940 (up to and including the Battle of France). Civilian aircraft are also welcome. 2. Any scale, any level of detail. 3. Entries should be no more than 50% completed. Feel free to contact johnsan or myself with any questions you might have.
  9. Were they wearing fighter jock garb or the one piece flight suitslike the bomber pilots? What about the Bordfunker? Thanks, Mike
  10. Outstanding work, Andrew! That thing must be huge!
  11. Not necessarily reality, unless the citizens of a country choose for it to be. Americans have never been as comfortable with taxes like most people in Europe are (we revolted from our sovereign England over taxes if you recall). I won't go into the pros and cons of socialism and government funded programs but if you reduce the size of government and government programs, you reduce your tax burden.
  12. This was posted by Martin over at LSP, reading this it appears that the B-17 will be released at some point....maybe. "I have decided per today to end the cooperation with the chinese partner. Maybe a cooperation which was never there !!!! Meaning that the B-25, B-17 and Meteor will be released within their new chinese brand. NOT by Wingscale."
  13. I don't think the 1/32 P-61 and B-17 are necessarily dead yet. Depends on whether Martin at Wingscale can come up with another partner in China to bring them to fruition. He got burned big time with the B-25 deal, hopefully he'll have better luck this time around.
  14. Very nice, the Yak was a pretty little aircraft. One I'd like to have for the collection but I haven't been willing to bite the bullet and pay the going price for it on ebay.
  15. Anything with Iron maiden on it is alright with me, nice work!
  16. Looks great, Don. Nice airbrush work, especially on that scale.
  17. Really nice work, looks great!
