  1. Ok, here is the question for the Cat guys and Gals. Does anyone make resin replacement wheels for the Hasegawa F-14 Family??? I did a search and found only Cutting Edge makes wheels for the cat in 1/48 but they are for the D model. Tally Ho made wheels but no longer list them. Any suggestions?? I am wondering about this because do these tires that come with the kit break down over time?? Thanks, Tricose - looking at his small air wing sitting in maintenance
  2. Great Deal from Smithery. I had the chance to buy something the other day from Smithery and all went extremely well and "fast". I can honestly say this has been a great experience and hope to deal again. I will highly recommend this great person to be dealt with confidence on any transactions. <_< Now the "to do" list just grew again. Thanks Kevin, Tricose - Michael
  3. Hey Smithery, what scale are you working in for this project?? :D I was going to do it in 1/32 myself and just saw that :o Flightpath now has the RAF TIALD [Thermal Imaging and Laser Designation] Pod. Where did you order your from if you don't mind my asking. Thanks, Tricose
  4. Great Shot Jonesy Is it just me or did someone else notice that the F/A-18E that Jonesy took from there was also from VFA-106?? Strange, I did not know that squadrons mixed airframes. Kinda neat if you ask me. Any experts on this one? Mike
  5. Hey Andy, WOW!!! Nice display cases! Amazing to see all those 'cats in one place other than a flightline. Looks like you have quite the collection of Tomcat Patches. Any pics of the stash of "to do" kits?? Mike
  6. Folks, Thanks greatly for all your help! Really appreciate it. This will definately help now with building the Tomcat the "right" way. Mike
  7. Thanks so far to both individuals who responded. It sheds some light on the subject. So let me get this right, if I build a A Model 'Cat then the glove vanes are there but not extended? They are just "locked" back into the leading edge? I was admiring Andy Mullen's work and noticed one of his cat's has the glove vanes extended. Nice work there Andy. I have been hoping that DACO's book would be out by now because we all know that it will become the Modeller's "Bible" for the Tomcat just as there previous books have done. If any one has some pic's they can share of the tomcat with the gl
  8. Gentleman and Ladies, :D feel a little dumb on this one but I am stuck. When did the F-14 Tomcat lose the "glove vanes"? I am working on some minor research right now for a new project and was wondering this. Help will be greatly appreciated. Mike Looking at doing a Black Knights Bird.
  9. Amazing looking Hornet! Just one quick question - the air refuelling recepticle?? Does it come with the kit?? Thanks,
