  1. So I sourced my B-17 needs, now I'm looking to scratch the B-24 itch. Who makes the best B-24 kit in 1/72?
  2. So dusting this Rivet Joint wing root walkway thread off to see if anyone know's if the Cobra Balls or Combat Sents have these walkway markings on them. I have no clue so reaching out to the experten.
  3. Discovered one other area that needs addressing with this kit and I'm sure it will include Roden's new release of their KC-135R kit. The mounting location for the wheels, all 10 of them need to be drilled out in order to fit on the axles of the gear struts. What comes in the kit are very slight depressions that are not even close to allowing the wheels to be properly mounted. It's a minor nit but one that needs to be addressed when you build your kit. Update to show what comes in the kit and what I did to fix.
  4. Stellar build Chris. Definitely captures that Bone look. This is by far the best B-1 kit on the market in this scale.
  5. Thanks Craig. Another great photo of the flap area. Much appreciated sir! Don
  6. I'm able to see the image. Not sure what's up with other's not being able to see it. BTW - Excellent BUFF Darren.
  7. Agree with Cameron. Would love to see 72091 scaled down to 1/144.
  8. Thanks Craig. That is an amazing photo of the flap. I too have been trying to find a clear pic of the flap well area. Not sure but I may be forced to get at least one of the GWH T-33 kits to see how they address this issue then try and replicate it for the Academy kits. Don
  9. I have several of the Academy 1/48 T-33 kits that I'd like to build up but am curious what others have done to fix the flap well up under the fuselage. It's an open hole that goes into the fuselage. I'm currently building the F-94B which uses essentially the same wing and has same issue. For the F-94 I am building it with the flaps up. I'd like to have dropped flaps on the T-33's. Please don't tell me to get the Great Wall Hobby kit as I already have several of the Academy kits along with AMS resin wheel-wells, vac canopy's and True Details wheels. All this was purchased before GWH c
  10. Mongo, the 1/48 Monogram F-101B kit includes a pair of Genie missiles. If you haven't sorted this yet, you might try including this in your add.
  11. Very nice Chris. You seem to have fixed the armor plated windshield that plagues the Revell G and H kits.
  12. The WWII aviation museum is amazing. We did a couple of tours with our car club. If my knees weren't so bad I'd volunteer there as well. Best of luck to your daughter. The Academy is very demanding.
  13. 'Lil is just 10 miles up the road from me. I used to be stationed at the Academy years ago and would see her most every day I was on duty. When did they whack the 30' off her wings? The googlemaps view looks like they are still intact.
  14. When I was in the old saying “there is the SAC way and then the rest of the Air Force.”
  15. I just don't have the pics and am relegated to what's on the interweb. I most definitely appreciate all the pics you are contributing. They are a treasure trove of goodness.
  16. I've been hoping that someone would do markings for one of the MAFFS birds that the 302 Reserve Wing flies out of Peterson. I see them all the time and always thought they'd be a cool addition to the collection.
  17. Well that is certainly different. Nice collection of pics Trooper.
  18. I have to agree with you on these decals. I thought I had enough kits but with all the different subjects on the 1/144 sheet, I'm gonna need a bigger boat! I mean more BUFF kits. LOL. Another absolute home run Kursad. I think my MOJO just switched from the RC-135 pile back to my half-built BUFF kits.
  19. I'd say the G and H's are pretty well covered. We need to give Kursad some tall tail BUFF inspiration. Personally I'd love to see the B-52F (0149) that B Gen Jimmy Stewart was on when he flew his mission into SEA then had the inflight emergency when the flaps split on landing. ref. 20. Heya Dutchmaster, any update on your Rivet Joint build?
  21. Good stuff Trooper. Keep them coming. Lots of great ideas.
