  1. Unknown. This happened after I left in May of '86. They all carried the basic markings like in my two ref photos without the Fairbanks deal on the nacelle. I think the Spirit of Fairbanks was unique to 993.
  2. And another pic without the blue on the tips of the fins faded out.
  3. Kursad, Would love to see an A-10A from the 343rd TFW, Eielson AFB, AK. I was stationed at Eielson during this time and remember them well. Always wanted to do up a Blue Fox A-10. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairchild_Republic_A-10_Thunderbolt_II#/media/File:A-10_Thunderbolt_II_Low-vis.JPEG
  4. Excellent job on your SPAD Dave. Always loved VNAF aircraft.
  5. Decals for a Golden Knights plane are already available.
  6. Heya Fred. Gear doors arrived in todays mail. Thanks a million Hoss. I'll try to post a pic when I get it done.
  7. Tom, Tried to email about the Freedom Models F-20B Tigershark for $40.00 but my email keeps giving me undeliverable. I'll try one more time and see if it makes it through.
  8. I thought this was about early F-4E's?

    T-28A 1/48

Early A's had a taller canopy along with a roll-over bar between the two cockpits. From what I can tell, they also did not have the speed-brake under the fuselage. I'm working on the same conversion using the old Monogram T-28A cowling as a starting point. Since I don't know how to deal with the early canopy, I'm going to model mine as a late A.
  10. Got a replacement canopy for their 1/72 B-52 several years ago. Aside from a bit of a language challenge, the process worked fine. And their English was way better than my Italian.
  11. Great news Kursad. It can wait another couple months.
  12. Looking for the main inner gear doors for the Monogram 1/48 F-5E/F Tiger II. I purchased a started kit off e-bay and these doors were glued partially shut and when I removed them, the outer edges broke into a bunch of nasty pieces. They are parts 33 and 34.
  13. I'm down for a set of O-2 decals. On a side note I'd love to see you downsize your 1/32 OV-10 "You're Cleared in Hot" sheet to 1/48.
  14. Ditto on where in the queue this one is at. I have a kit on the paint shelf waiting for some interesting decals before I commit. Was thinking of a "what-if" but would rather do an actual Swedish line bird.
  15. The Hasegawa F-4E in 1/48 comes with rails/launchers for the AIM-4D Falcon. They are parts number J4(J5) and J7(J6).
  16. I saw their stuff and really hit on the updated tires for the T-38. The Fury cockpit update set looks like it's a must.
  17. Looking good Corey. I wasn't planning on buying this kit but the decals have convinced me otherwise. Has happened on more than one occasion with Caracal Decals!
  18. Now that is a nice looking Mig-29. I'm guessing it's the Mig-29K. Does anyone make a kit of this version in 1/48?
  19. Winner! The Yak-38 was never going to win a beauty contest but when they wedged a second seat in this thing, it just got nasty.
  20. Just measured this nose cone and it's way too long and tapered to work for the tail end of the Silver King pod in 1/72.
  21. Mark, Estes does a blow molded nose cone for their N Smoke that might fit the bill. See this link. It's the bottom nose cone. I might have one in my rocket stash I can let you have if your interested. I'll measure it and see if it would work out. https://eugenetoyandhobby.com/shop/estes-nc-50-nose-cones-5-303162/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2-W-lIOI6wIVC77ACh1RfAalEAQYAiABEgIm6PD_BwE
  22. That would certainly get the job done. Great looking nuke Corey. I did something like this for the inner generator and heat exchanger pods for my RC-135E Rivet Amber only I used Evergreen tubing and filled the steps in with CA glue then sanded to shape.
  23. Hobby Lobby carries what you need. Here is a link. Unfortunately, this will be about as cheap as you get but it includes everything you need. https://www.hobbylobby.com/Crafts-Hobbies/Clay-Molding-Sculpting/c/9-175?q=%3Arelevance&page=1&quickview=22251 Short this you can always just use various bits of plastruct or evergreen sheet and rod plastic to replicate the panel.
