  1. Great review Chris. Thanks for posting.
  2. The prices that some of the manufacturers have been asking are going to drive or keep our younger modelers from being able to enjoy our hobby. I know it's been keeping me from buying certain kits.
  3. Mike West seems to be doing most of his business on Facebook. At least that is how I've been contacting him. If you have access to Facebook, go to Lone Star Models and send him a message. It might take a little while but he'll eventually answer you.
  4. That's crazy! At some point I should listen to the Domestic Supervisor. I tell her I need this certain kit and she tells me I have enough kits. She's right of course. I'll never finish what is filling up the basement.
  5. Looking online the Accurate Miniatures kit is basically the Eduard P-39/P-400 kit. Both very good but both even more expensive than the Monogram/Revell kits on Ebay. Eventually I'll find a kit that is a reasonable price.
  6. Gosh, I hope not. Shamu is the one scheme that nobody has done yet and I’m not holding my breath that Roden will get it right. Looking at the reviews it sure doesn’t look like it.
  7. I know there are a couple reviews of this kit on a couple of the different websites but wanted to know if anyone has built this kit and has any suggestions I could use? I just picked up one off the Bay for a decent price and have always liked the looks of the Kingcobra. don
  8. Looking really good Bastian. Makes me want to dust off the the RF-101B that I am in the process of refinishing.
  9. While there are others on this board way more knowledgeable than me on all things aggressor, it's a reference to the enemy and the mission and tactics the F-5 Aggressor unit fly in the region. Don
  10. WOW! Amazing job there Jost. Can't wait to see her with wings and engines on.
  11. Hello Kursad. Any updates on a 1/144 B-47 sheet? Just curious.
  12. Couldn't agree more! He is my decal maker go to source.
  13. I didn't either. Read right past it. Salute to you in your uniform.
  14. What's really crappy is the postage that you end up paying is almost as much as the inflated prices of these kits.
  15. Very Nicely done. I need to head over to Britmodeller and check it out. link: Kinetic 1/48 Lockheed Starfighter F-104N - Ready for Inspection - Aircraft - Britmodeller.com
  16. Monogram ~ Revell, I think most here know what I meant….
  17. I was just over on the Bay looking to see about picking up the venerable Monogram P-39 kit in 1/48. Holy crap! Is there something with this kit that has caused it to be worth it's weight in unobtainium? I can't beleive how much people are asking for this kit. I guess I'll just wait for Monogram to re-release the kit or pick it up in a trade somewhere.
  18. I used the windshield decal from ATP for my Shell 77 build to go with the Fisher replacement nose. 1/144 Minicraft KC-135R "Shell 77" - The Display Case - ARC Discussion Forums (arcforums.com)
  19. Wow that looks amazing. Gonna use this as an example to follow for my build.
  20. Looking good Bastian. I love these old Monogram kits. Keep up the great work.
  21. I have this sheet as well as the 1/144 C-135 Family General Purpose Markings sheet. They are designed to fit the Minicraft kit. I did try one of the windshield decals on the Roden part and found the decal was slightly undersized. I suppose I could fill in the depression area and use these, but I was hoping that someone would do up something that fit the Roden kit. I don't know if the Roden windshield is too big or what but it definitely looks 1000% better than the Minicraft windshield. Here is a pic of the Caracal decal on the Roden windshield. Sorry for the crummy pic.
  22. I wish someone would do up windshield decals for the Roden RC/KC-135 kits. Granted, there is enough relief molding into the kit clear part that you can easily paint and mask off but a decal would be so much quicker and easier. Call me lazy.
