Canadian Coast Guard Dash-8? The Aurora / Arcturus are the same. All the changes were internal.

http://www.belcherbits.com/lines/decals/bd10.htm The double flash must have been pre-1968. I scanned through Patrick Martins book and there is only one Dakota in the book with RCAF markings, Dolly's Folley which I believe was a nav trainer?

They say that the aircraft carried the 4 x 20 MM cannons, rockets and bombs. What rockets did the RCN employ on the Banshee? What bombs did the RCN employ on the Banshee? I would think that the RCN Banshees would be using the same type of ordinance as their USN cousins? The AN-Mxx series for the 500 lb bombs? HVAR for the rockets? Any ideas? I don't have a copy of the book for the Banshees in RCN service. Maybe have to go to Shearwater tomorrow.

There was a Canberra and a Valiant from the RAF as the intercept targets? Always loved hearing the radio chatter between the scrambling units and ATC / Intercept Controllers.

Wondering what the vents that extend up off the walkway inside the LEX fences are? Are those on CF18s? -

Saguanay replied to Helidriver's topic in General Discussion
"As part of the ongoing investigation, an Emirates airliner suspected of carrying cargo from Yemen landed safely at the John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York City after being escorted from the Canadian border to the U.S. by military fighter jets. As part of the North American Aerospace Defence Command (Norad) system, the flight was initially intercepted by two Canadian CF-18s from CFB Bagotville after it entered Canadian airspace early Friday afternoon.
