Oh I just LOVE this photo. Are there any other pictures from other angles?
\\DanEspecially the mix&match engine nacelle panels! 👍

I have some RepliScale sheets that cover that period, primarily Hornets and Eagles.

Also started working on my photography skills. Trying to figure out how to get everything in focus when up close.
Stop down the lens, increase shutter speed, put camera on a tripod.

Atlantis usually strives to accurately reproduce the original kit - flaws and all - rather than make any historically accurate corrections.

I believe this is actually a B-1A.

I agree, either 74-0160 or 76-0174. I believe these were the only airframes modified with the dorsal wave guide spine.

The XV-15 had LW-3B seats, mounted side by side. We did one static (on the ground) test. Note that the parachute is on opposite sides even on the OV-10 installation, which if I remember correctly was to insure seat separation laterally. Yours truly is in the left seat; note the parachute on the left side of the seat.
I lived just west of the Arlington airport back then, always stopped to watch the -15 fly overhead. Shot many photos back then with mutual buddy Jay M. -
Just found this thread, the most obvious external clue (to me) is that the classic beetle had a flat windscreen, the super beetle had a curved windscreen.

Confused, are you building this kit? or offering it up for sale?

I am going to release a slightly reorganized and improved version of the CD48202 stenciling/national insignia sheet as a Basics item sometime in the next couple of months, so you can build multiple options from this and other F-104 sheets I offer.
Did this Basics sheet ever get released? I don't see it on the website.
Also, wasn't someone working on an NF-104A conversion with the rocket motor etc? I thought I saw it mentioned somewhere but I can't find it....

The Chilean Vipers are ex-RNLAF, so naturally they are similar as they came with the chute when delivered.
Chile also has several Block 50 C/D models with parabrake housings under Peace Puma program.

Don't know for a fact but I would think the shape and size of the actual 'chute varies with the gross weight of the block/version - sort of like how the later C/D models got the beefed up landing gear for the heavier Block 40/50 etc.

It must, as they did send out quite a few correction kits for it.
"ModelCorrect"... 😂

I'd like to see the two prototypes, YS-3A & WSIP S-3B (Early Vikings?)

While some unique photos have been posted recently I can't help but feel the purpose of this thread has drifted far away from the original intent to suggest possible new topics for the Caracal brand. Perhaps this info should be posted in a dedicated thread, maybe in the Research Corner subforum.

The forum software substitutes that text in place of certain text strings considered to be associated with spammers. If I had to guess I'd say the original url contained the letters e b a y c o & m...

I don't know about colors, but you realize that you won't be able to see the crew when your model is finished, right?😊🤔
Hey the B-1 is stealthy and all, but .....

Someone had that Fox One B-58 sheet for sale here recently, I can't find it now, may have been sold.

Cutting Edge released resin exhausts for the Italeri/Testors kit. Good luck finding a set though.
