Alright, since this thread seems to be smoldering a bit now, lemme throw somethin else in the fire to take us even further from the OT.
Something didn't seem right with that gif of the two guys blowing up their boat, like the part where it looks like one guy's head is blown off. Anyway, I decided to search on it and see about it's authenticity and I found the following article.

Viral 'grenade fishing' accident video apparently a movie stunt (video)
Jul 31, 2012, 4:15 PM EDT
Comments Off
It happened somewhere in Russia, and the video hit LiveLeak and is approaching 150,000 views, with a few thousand more on YouTube. The premise seems to be two dumb guys fishing with grenades, who almost blow up their own boat. But according to commenters, it was a really stunt for a movie — which makes sense, since you can hear someone shouting directions to the men through a bullhorn.
Also, if you're really fishing with explosives, one would think you'd throw them further from the boat.
So see, if enough of us comment about something, it has to be true!
We now return you to your regularly schedule program...whatever that may be.

Amazing, a true Hero.

Here's a bit more info I found using the OP's opening line as a search:
Very interesting!
Of note, the Earth has only been photographed from "outer space" 2 other times, and one of those was also by Cassini in 1996 (source: above link)
Thanks for sharing, pretty damn amazing really!

My queries went unanswered. Good to see ARC is "safe" again

Great idea for a theme! I think I could throw something together.

Hmm, must be goin' around this year. For my last birthday (Apr 15), I went to the eye doctor and had my eye "drilled". Yep, "DRILLED"!
I was doing some work on my classic car, also involving welding and grinding, but my story differs from there. I was grinding WITH safety glasses on, and somehow, two tiny fragments of steel got lodged in my right eye. The doc told me they had been in there for 2 or 3 days and he could tell by the rust spots in my iris. When he told me that, I remembered when I felt them hit my eye around my safety glasses, but I didn't feel anything in there right when it happened, so I had thought they just bounced out or whatever.
So my eye started bothering me about 5pm the day before my birthday. That night I spotted the pieces in my eye and began to worry when they wouldn't move and my eye wasn't congealing around them. The next morning it was clear I needed to see an eye doc, my eye was Ferrari red.
Anyway, once he saw what the problem was and told me, I asked him, "soooo, how do we get them out?" ...."oh, I'm going to drill them out." .... "you're going to DRILL them out!!!!
So panic sets in, the thought of any kind of "work" being done on my eye don't sit well with me, but all in all, he put a bunch of drops in my eye, numbed it, and proceeded to use what we came to an agreement on, was essentially a super micro Dremel tool. So of course as I'm getting my eye drilled, I'm thinking of how AWESOME it would be to have one of these micro dremels for use at the bench!
It was my birthday after all!
Well, no luck with that, but except for a few days of extreme light sensitivity and redness, my eye healed up just fine.
So, I know the feeling, though yours sounds FAR more painful! Were you wearing leather gloves? I had a handful (pun?) of times where my glove got sucked into the grinding disc and I was sure happy I had my gloves on.
Speed recovery to ya!

ok, is it just me or is that super hard to read? (format)

WOW!!! It all looks amazing, but those seats are just insane! They look real to me (1:1).

Congrat's Dave, that's gotta be a great feelin'!

Jim,
Not sure what you paid for your Chinesium compressor, but I used to use one of these with GREAT success, pretty quiet and did what it was supposed to do, and are often found on sale for $100. When I shop at HF, I only buy stuff that won't p!ss me off when it breaks before you expected it to, that said, I stay away from any power tools I want to last a long time. Not saying you can't get a good power tool there, but I'd rather take my chances elsewhere, unless I want a disposable.
Good luck. Of course if things don't go you're way, you could always do what this lady did

Didn't see an update posted between the side discussions, so....
Crew of 3 MIA, farmer says a/c exploded mid air and broke up into 3 pieces.

Um, maybe, but I have no clue how to print a specific sized image and other factors I have no knowledge of.
ah, well, I think that'd be a good place to start in terms of getting images of the specific aerial images you are after (for whoever does the PS work for you).

Couldn't you just google earth image captures of the area desired?

Exactly!!
The question is, when will airshows start getting cancelled. I personally look forward to the show at Miramar every year. I make the drive from Northern LA County for the statics and some shirt/hat purchases from the various squadrons. But mainly to say thank you to the men and women in uniform.
You haven't heard....?

Hey Aaron, saw it at Emil's last time I was there (in Feb).

Hat's off to you Sir! That's a helluva thing you're doin' for that little girl and her family.

Click on the "Report" button bottom left of one of your first post, and put in the notes your request to have it moved. I think that's the best way to get a move. How I've done it.
You build has inspired me to think about putting my first sci-fi project on the bench next. Probably the Star Wars TIE Interceptor. We'll see. But yours turned out Awesome!

Cool, waiting for episode II.
Is that a signature there on the inside (bottom center of last pic)? Always tossed that idea around, never have done it though.
