  1. As you read and others have chimed in, there CAN be issues with Alclads black primer. HOWEVER, I've used entire bottles of the stuff and never had ANY of the problems others have had. The key to success with that stuff is extremely thorough mixing. There is alot of solids and other components at the bottom of the bottle and it is necessary to mix it extremely well or you get what everyone complains about....issues. Even though your base coat is dry to the touch, it could still be offgassing and if your mixture was not what it should be with proper mixing, this could be the issue at hand. If n
  2. and here I thought it was just because you had a thang for boners, er, uh bones.
  3. So Jim, just how much sky are you including with these? Will there be enough to fly them in? How do you plan to ship the kit and the sky? LMK, I've got quite a bit of sky 'round here, but hey, some o' that FLA sunshine might be nice this time of year.
  4. Thinning the herd a bit, some are duplicates that I'll be lucky to get the first round built, others are kits I've just lost interest on. Shipping not included. Prefer to keep shipping to the US only, international postage will be considered on a case by case basis (be prepared for high cost shipping). Not looking for trades at this time. Please PM me with any interests. Paypal, USPS Money order, or cash at senders risk accepted. 6. WTH?! This keeps happening to my posts more and more. Frustrating.
  7. Nothing else to say but....>WOW! (ok, well I can think of a few choice profane words, but this is a family channel, so..>>WOW!)<img src="http://s362974870.onlinehome.us/forums/air/public/style_emoticons/default/jaw-dropping.gif" alt="" class="bbc_emoticon">
  8. Good to see ya 'round Roy! Glad to hear all's well!
  9. 3 1/72 kits with a starting bid of $120? Are they rare or something?
  10. Just got a package from Australia that was sent surface mail. I was told the estimated time for delivery would be 60-90 days! I thought that was ridiculous and figured it would show up much sooner. That is until it showed up right around the 90 day mark! Point is, things going international can and will take much longer than expected in some cases. I do know of someone (here on these boards who we all know) who regularly ships internationally, and he has figured out a few of the countires that you can almost expect issues with, though I can't recall which they were.
  11. Was just looking at some posts regarding the P-38, and was thinking to myself what a beautiful airplane that is in the air, but the stance of it on the ground really makes me want to build at least one in flight. So I got to thinking, what other aircraft look WAAAAY better in the air than they do on the ground? So, I'll start with.......the P-38
  12. Must be a nice size garage if your new partition is at 20'x10'!!! Didn't know you were in the NW. What part?
  13. Sad story. 80 year old Rubin Baum, pushes wife out of the way of an incoming car, and gets hit by that car. Thank you for your service sir, RIP! http://news.yahoo.co...-184512793.html
  14. Be careful, it leaves residue. I used it for a short bit in painting houses and also on some of our dishes, and it always leaves a residue.
  15. Just saw this over on HS. Terrible tragedy, my thoughts and condolences go out to all involved. http://www.inforum.c...630/group/News/ http://www.newsdakot...county-airport/ One of the only two remaining F2G Super Corsairs happens to be located here in Seattle at the Museum of Flight.
  16. BRAVO! Amazing work man. A long road, but in the end, look what you're left with! The icing here would be some forced perspective photography, you build already looks so real, adding real scenery like runways, tarmac, or hangers would just be the cat's meow!
  17. I've not used it yet, but I've been hearing good things about Alclad's new gloss clears. Might do some checking into that. I'm still using Future, and pretty happy with it.
  18. Thanks for the compliments. I was more than happy to help. However, this is not my "first" armor model, I think it's the fourth or fifth completed armor model now. Been trying to get better and learn more things with each one.
  19. Oh, and apparently I missed the memo where it said that nearly ALL Shermans did not have the side skirts covering the top tracks. DOH!
