  1. Perfect, so other than the occasional metal, it was usually just the camo color? Guess I wrongly figured on something more.... Thanks so much!
  2. Looking for photos of the refueling port of the A-7D. Only found a b/w one in the Detail & Scale book, but it's open; hoping to find out what it looked like (incl. colors) when closed.
  3. Glynn, email sent, missiles located for you. THANK YOU! Thank you also Tom, I'm very thankful for your response and offer as well!
  4. That would be FANTASTIC if you do....hopefully I can offer something in return. Need anything from the Hasegawa weapons sets?
  5. Hey again, was that "J" sprue in any particular release of the Hase A-10, or in all of them? I've been trying to see on the Ebay listings if I can see it on any of the photos showing the sprues, and I can't find it yet....
  6. This one; not sure if it's the original raised panel swinging-wing release, or the "new mold" release which is hardly new now...
  7. Does this exist? Hoping to make the converted pod that the 4450th used as a joke on one deployment. They used a -27 shell converted to luggage pod standards, then added all sorts of crazy customizing. I know it's not in any of my Hasegawa weapons sets; maybe an existing kit somewhere has a BLU-27 or a luggage pod that y'all don't need and would sell or trade?
  8. Ever had this? I purchased a Pavla vacuform canopy from a seller in Germany (I'm in the USA). The seller, who has perfect feedback, shipped it in a simple bubble envelope, much to my surprise. As you can imagine, it arrived crushed and unuseable. I wrote to the seller, with photos, asking if he had a replacement. He said sorry, no, go try Hannant's UK. Hoping I can get a refund, since I'm guessing he won't respond well to my request for one....
  9. No worries, I totally understand that. I looked around first for aftermarket like you mentioned and so far have found nothing. Hence the request here....
  10. Hey there Fred, It may be possible in some releases, but I've only built A's and B's and have never had that part in any that I've purchased so far. If you do have it, I'd love to arrange a trade of something... -A-
  11. Much appreciated if anyone has one of these I could purchase or even trade...I have some F-14 parts (A/B) I'd be happy to trade, even some decals etc. I also have decals and some parts for F-4's and MiGs. Thanks! jollyrogers5 at hotmail
  12. Hello all, Re: A-7D in the dark gray/dark green scheme, circa late 1980's. Says the dark gray goes back 6 feet into the intake, then "transitions" to white. Should I assume it to be a hard-lined difference between gray and white, or would "transitioned" imply a sprayed fog line?
  13. Yep, taking Lauren Bruner to be interred in 2019; it's cropped from a photo I took. That was the very last interment, ever. I was privileged to witness 5 men interred, including a few I was very close to, including Lauren.
  14. Makes sense, thank you! Like I said, had they accepted me for service, I would've been better educated.... Incidentally, the box he's holding is the urn of one of my friends, USS Arizona survivor Lauren Bruner. I took it right before we interred him into the Arizona.
  15. Thank you! At first I thought Commander or Captain, but then the star on the shoulder had me second-guessing.
  16. Since I was rejected for service (health), I am sadly ignorant of what rank I am looking at in this photo I took 3 1/2 yrs ago, other than that it is an officer....possibly Admiral or Captain?
  17. A few years ago some might remember the series here on ARC I did of modelling the complete history of the Vermont ANG, 14 planes from the P-47 through the F-35 today. Decals did not exist for most of the planes, and no kit existed of the EB-57. Last October I was welcomed at the VT ANG in my birth city of Burlington, VT (I am in Tucson AZ now). The Wing Commander welcomed me as I donated my entire 14 model collection to the unit, and I was thrilled to be taken right to the edge of the runway while the F-35's were taking off. This week I received photos of the GORGEOU
  18. My friends, Many of you know of the years I was privileged to spend serving the last survivors of the USS Arizona. I've been doing a LOT of writing in recent years of the men and their families who I grew to love dearly, hopefully to become published one day. I am working on a chapter about how the survivors first formed their Reunion Association, and their need to reconnect with men who survived the horrors of Dec 7 with them on the USS Arizona. Since I am not a combat veteran, I wanted to make sure what I wrote for the beginning of the chapter is accurate for what lies dee
  19. This week I traveled from Arizona all the way to my birthtown of Burlington VT, to show my wife where I was born and grew up in the neighboring state. Yesterday morning I had a royal appointment with the Vermont ANG as I donated to them my entire 1/72 collection of the 14 planes I did of their entire history from P-47s to F-35s. Was painful to lose them, but what better place to possibly give them, than where they will be most appreciated and viewed by many? Besides those who see them in the ARC gallery, I mean. And boy, did they roll out the red carpet for us! They
  20. Amazing to reach 101 and still be relatively mobile and lucid, especially considering he was almost killed at age 20 (7 December 1941). His powerful voice and very firm handshake have weakened very considerably, but he is still at it. What an amazing life he's had! Now both remaining USS Arizona survivors are aged 101.
  21. Hoping to find the windscreen/canopy from a Hase 1/72 F-111. I *think* all variants have the same one, yes?
  22. Long shot, I don't suppose anyone makes a 1/72 F-111 internal weapons bay? Found one in 1/48, but so far nothing in my planned scale.
  23. Wow, I was already thinking the phrase "Well deserved!" when I scrolled down and saw how many other folks said the exact same thing. So it's true!
