Tony9409 started following UH-1D seats, LF 1/48 Monogram Su-25 clear part sprue and 1/48 F-117 Question
-
Aires cockpit does fit as I have it in my F-117. I like the Tamiya landing gear better so replace with aftermarket for the Monogram/Testors kit

I cut the horrible hinges off and replaced holes with card stock sanding to shape. I'll likely scratch build the new hinges. As for the transmission tower no it goes on that way. The front protruding part is under cover so you'd not usually see much of it. The rear part connects to where the air filter would be and the engine. I can sell copies of the doors, looking to make enough mostly to cover costs. For glasswork I will be using clear stock as the kit stuff has edge flaws you see too much.

Here is a shot of the resin doors. My inside of the side door could be cleaner, but with them open they'd be fine for the bit of the backs that show... The pilot seats I did to make it easier to do the glass inserts

Thanks for the input been a fan of your postings for some time. OD Green is on and seatbelts will be a next step. This is the Revell 1/32 Huey I've been toying with for a while with a new scratch interior. Also corrected the side doors and front doors casting them. I also made the interior posts. Anyone wondering about the tapering on the upright bars for the seating I used a drafting pencil sharpener...

Is is ok for an early era UH-1D to have red fabric for the rear seating and olive drab on the front armored seats or by then would the rear be olive as well ? thanks

Great work on your build and inspiring for what to try. thanks for sharing. Tony

yes it does fit without too much trouble from my experimenting installing it. I also made some mods to the front wheel well to accept the F-117 Late SAC landing gear. Tony

I am looking for a set of 1:48 scale CAM decals for the Mig-29 that has the Ukrainian Demo team from 1992. The sheet I believe is 48-106. I have the Leading Edge and kit decals, but both seem to have gotten the yellow grossly wrong. On the CAM sheet I really only need the markings for that aircraft. If you have some to trade or sell or give please let me know. Thanks Tony

Royal resin stuff has been excellent all around. Aires is nice all around but a dremel is helpful. Wolfpack resin has been nice too.

they do look great any reason they could not fit the Revell kit?
