  2. thats a relief, im only just getting back into modeling, and i dont want too many challenges yet ive got a few harriers but fancied a navy version for a change, ive got the old tamiya FS1 kit aswell, but im working up to that this is the one i fancy but need to source a decal sheet
  3. nice model whats the kit like to build, ive got it lined up next with a pair of paveways liberated from the eurofighter kit and im trying to get hold of decals for a 800 NAS machine

  5. thanks ill have a look at the revell kit, as i dont like vacform kits much (i dont like the hard work!) are there any aftermarket decals for the shack and more importantly wr977?

  8. all this talk makes me want to go and buy one! but which is best the 1/48 italeri, revell or academy?
  9. i think it is the italeri kit ive got both of them and they look identical (the revell is slightly crisper and cleaner), but havent made either yet so how they go together who knows?
  10. thanks im after a MR.3/3 for WR977 which currently resides at Newark Air Museum (uk) 10mins drive form me, so can get loads of photos www.newarkairmuseum.org i didnt know revell made a kit does anyone know what its like? if its not up to scratch i go with the vac form kit (but i would prefer injection mouldings)

  12. this must have been a prototype mig 17 and therefore may have had early markings 'The prototype MiG-17 (NATO code name Fresco) first flew in January 1950 and was reported to have exceeded Mach 1 in level flight.   14. there are no other production kits of the f15d, i think there was a limited run kit a while ago by italeri but im not sure
  15. thanks spike, cracking photos i may have to re think and opt ofr a 9 sqn machine from telic with storm shaddow? far to many decisions to make at this time of night!!

  20. thanks guys theres loads of usefull stuff, thanks its for a tornado im making, ive stole the storm shaddows off the revell 1:48 eurofighter kit, and the paveways for a harrier, loads of ordanance on that kit thanks again
  21. has anyone got in paint refs for a storm shaddow or any photos, ive heard these one at hendon?
