  1. Revell Tornado ECR in 1/48 ? Looks like you are the only one on this planet to have such a kit P
  2. Interesting. I know of an Aires conversion set to backdate a G to an F. It's an hard taks to do? How much surgery is required and how does it fit? It's an headache or not? Thanks! Paolo
  3. I'm painting my F-14D legs stuff right now. So, now I will glue the hubs with white glue in order to be able to install your wheels later. Three really welcome sets, Doug, thanks. Should be better to have a squared hose in the Tomcat wheels, since Hasegawa leg pins have squared section. Anyway nothing too hard to fix for with a little surgery. I hope... When will be possible to order? Regards Paolo
  4. Hi all, on Hannants website I've just found a Me-109F 1/32 listed as Future Release. Since I've never heard of a new version of the 109 (and the F is the sleekest, about me), can someone confirm, please? Is there an estimated release date? Thanks, regards Paolo
  5. Looks really nice, dude! Paolo
  6. Hi Guys, I'm looking for Superscale 48-867, with a D Thud in alluminium. Seems that all the shops I know have it out of stock. Is there someone that have a spare to sell? Or someone can suggest me a seller whit that sheet in stock? I could be interested to buy an alternative (or part of a sheet), for a metallic F-105D. Many thanks! Paolo
  7. All that work for such a ugly aircraft??? Just kidding, Piero! Another masterpiece in your collection. Another confirmation of your ability, and where passion, time and dedication can lead, considering the quality of the kit. Seing from a modeler perspective, what a really frustrating friend, you are !!! :) Paolo
  8. Firs time I see an HB Thud completed. And last saturday I discovered that photos doesn't render full justice to the model. Real looks better than on the monitor. I have been a little disappointed from a first in-the-box look, but after having seen your model I changed my mind. All these rivets doesn't seem so evident whith paints on, and your expert washing perform at the best. And now I'm considering to buy the Hobby Boss kit. ...if to buy another kit is a good thing, for me! ...what's the decal sheet you're selling, my friend? Paolo
  9. A really nice painting and a realistic wheathering. Congratulations! ...but how did you do to hidden all that mess of rivets??? Give me five, my friend! Paolo
  10. Oh no, Raymond ! I've just received a DG/DJ to be transformed in Barak, with approx 2kg. of resin parts designed for Hasegawa. I was thinking to start works shortly. And now you says that a Barak is coming out from Kinetic ???? Somone needs a DG/DJ at a bargain price ? Paolo
  11. What a beautiful paint job, grobber! This topic will be a reference for my future Kurnass. Waiting to see complete, my best compliments! Cheers Paolo
  12. Thanks for your words, dudes! I'm glad you like my Cat. To Brian: thanks for your suggestions; I will try to repair the errors where possible. Yes, the metal leading edge will be painted at last, after having matted the plane, in order to have them in a semi-shine finish. To Babyduck5: nice pilot, true? Is a 120 mm Verlinden kit, released a lot of years ago. A really good figure, with two heads option. With garrison cap or helmet. I don't know where to find one today, but I don't believe will be too hard, searching in specialized shops or asking directly to VLS. I do not have the catal
  13. As already well known, the Hasegawa Tomcat is a really tricky kit to build. But thanks to Dave Angust's articles edited on Hyperscale some years ago, is possible to shortcut almost all of issues. Some others seems are due to the age of the molds (or to my fault!) Just one example of the troubles, I found this big gap on the bottom of the fuselage, once aligned and glued the cockpit. Nothing impossible to fix, with a lot of tests and dry fit, before to glue the parts. So take your time, canditate Hasegawa Tomcat builder! Patience pays! Painting was done following usual Modern Modeli
  14. Hi all When last summer was launched the idea of a 2.0 release for the Tomcat G.B., I discovered a spur child istinct in me and I was unable to wait for the start day, Jan 01 '09. And now my Cat is too far away to join the Group. Shame on me ! But I strongly wish to join the Group in the future, with another F-14; an Hi Viz VF-1's on their First Cruise, with large beaver tail, and hoping to have available a new decal sheet realised for the GB, not to be obliged to use the old Microscale release. ...do you read me, Brian ? First of all, I want take this opportunity to salute all the To
  15. All Hasegawa 1/48 Tomcat kits are the same. Some years ago they update the molds for some minor issues, but nothing radical. And nothing new since the first release. The Hasegawa's F-14 in 1/48 during the years earned a fame of impossible-to-build kit. The legend says that a lot of them ended their life against a wall, hammered, or outside the window. Later on, a series of articles by Dave Angust on another website, revealed how to shortcut some issues, rendering to the mold a new light, under the right perspective (thanks, Dave!) A google search will help to find the articles. Hope thi
  16. Thanks Honza! For sharing your tecnique with us. And obviously many contgratulations for the stunning job you're doing Paolo
  17. Congratulations! I really like the subject you chose and the extreme cleaning of your work. Compliments even for the cockpit and instrument panel. Bravo! Paolo
  18. Tell the truth, my dear Friend... You have just signed a contract with a big decal manufacturer as a sponsor and now you can't show to the world an aircraft with someone else decal. X stands to Rafharrier as "Tike" stands to Tiger Woods. Anyway, the story of the hammer lended by a friend is a really good one! Who on the earth can never destroy a model with an hammer???? And again, could never be a place called Little River ???? Less chattering, please. Let's go with the new decal, c'mon... Cheers! Paolo
  19. Ok, Guys, thanks. I'll join the group with the new one. Cheers Paolo
  20. Hy all, when last summer the idea of a new Tomcat GB was proposed by Eliminator, I immediately took the inspiration to build my first Cat. Or rather, two. The Black Tail VF-31' F-14D and a first-cruise Wolfpack (strongly hoping to use a new decal sheet from Fightertown!). After having had some specific informations on the D I had in mind thanks to Brian kindness, I realized that my Tomcat Disesase was too strong at the moment to wait for more than three months and resist for so long to open the bags. I'm sure a lot of you can understand ...or that's what I hope! And so I started
  21. Hi ARC'ers, I'm planning to build an F-104C in pre-Vietnam bare metal/white. I strongly hope within 2009. There are a lot I really like, with most colored markings . Is there someone that has a partially used Victory Production decal sheet 48005 to sell? Or someone that can sell me two or three options of it, whom is not interested ? Many thanks for reading, and a Happy Christmas you all ! Paolo
  22. Even the F-14A VF-213 Black Lions (code 09814) has been released at the same slightly higher price than others Hasegawa Tomcats. But from a quick search, in what-in-the-box photos doesn't seems to have the same extra parts for early As. <_< Can someone confirm this? ...just to better understand what kit to look for. Regards! Paolo
  23. Dude, did you insert other plasticard details into the cockpit after painted it and closed the fuselage ??? There's always some other to learn ! :D Paolo
