  1. If these figures are made of polythylene, to paint them first coat them overall in diluted white glue. Once painted DO NOT HANDLE THEM BY THE FIGURE & DO NOT BEND THEM AT ALL. If you handle them only by the base you shoul be safe & your paint should stay on. A caveat to this I first learned about this as a member of a figuer collectors club & I HAVE YET TO TRY IT OUT. I hope this helps, all I can say is to try it out. Carl T
  2. My reply is first and foremost Model Airplane International. It is the one magazine I must have. I have had subscriptions to all the others mentioned above, but if I had only one choice it is MAI. Carl T
  3. Sir, That is an awesome group of photos. I have an old AMT 1/48th kit & your photos make building it & adding detail an interesting prospect. THANKS very much for posting your thread. Carl T  :)
  4. I am trying to find one of Hasegawa's 1/32nd P-26 kits. Specifically kit # 08156. It has decals for the blue & yellow fuselage & cowl flash , also for the red, blue, & yellow cowling for another P-26. I am at present working on 6 1/32nd & 10 1/48th P-26 models, ( I have 3 more 1/32nds to build. ) If anybody has this kit, or it's decal sheet, that they would like to part with for a reasonable price I will buy it. If I can find this kit & build it & the remaining 3 others I will have built a total of 24 P-26s models. I have already built 3 1/32nd models years ago, & I
  5. A truly beautiful P-26. If you would tell me where you sourced your markings information I'd appreciate it. Over the last 2 weeks I have been cleaning up 16 P-26 models preparatory to sanding & painting ( 10 in 1/48th & 6 in 1/32nd ) I've already painted the 1/48th motors & have the 1/32nd ones in front of me now to be painted. Some years ago I bullt 3 of the 1/32nd kits. I still have 3 more of the 1/32nd kits to build and am looking for Hasegawa's kit # 08156 issue of the 1/32nd model especially for the markings. Thank you for any info you may give. Carl T
  6. In each case of the aircraft featured in my previous reply, the decals & the model are of the aircraft pictured in this thread, but without any of the special anniverary markings. Just look closely at the serial numbers. BTW as I understand it the C-47 is now flying with the BoBMF
  7. Some years ago Model Decal had a decal set ,# 79 that featured a C-47 in 50th anniversary special markings that are quite colorful + a Hawker Hunter T.7, actually 2, #XL563 & XF321 + a Westland- Aerospatiale HT3 Gazelle #XZ936. Also Hasegawa had kit #CH8 for a Phantom Mk FG1 #XT597 in 25th anniversary special markings. I realize both are long out of production, but dilligent searching will turn up what you want. Carl T
  8. Super model, great paint job & a very interesting joice of markings & all in 1/72nd scale. Carl T
  9. Neat work on the cockpit, particularly in 1/72 scale.
  10. Very interesting photos of the 2 models. I have read Mr. Duffys articles on the Sveno 7 & wondered what it looked like.
  11. A super build of a very complex model. I really like the trapeze & I16.
