  1. Hey everybody I'm still in preps. for my last launch dio with 164341 alias the last Felix-112. I got some fairly nice reference pics but I just can't see the crew names clearly. I got some neat decals in 1/32 of Felix-112 but actually not the last one i.e. 164341 but the one from the last cruise which went to AMARG in a few weeks earlier, i.e. 163417 so I just assume the names on the decal sheet are wrong. can anyone help me with the names on the canopy of 164341 during the last launch? thanks in advance!
  2. Just got word from them. I'll get mine within the next two weeks! Up to now I can't complain. Really good communication.
  3. There you go: http://www.rl-onlinecenter.de/Shop/Modellb...89d6ad8e6962d0e I just saw that they rose the price now by 10 Euros but anyway still no comparisson to what they want for the bird in the states as it seems.
  4. Hey Sven, Grüße aus der Nachbarschaft! Ich hab von Mirco schon das Set 1 und sitze hier echt auf glühenden Kohlen! Wann isses denn so weit??? Regards right from the neighbourhood. I already got the Set 1 from Mirco and to everyone here around: GO GET IT!!!! IT'S WORTH EVERY CENT! even considering the current exch
  5. Strange, I pre-ordered my Trumpy Cat here in Germany for not more than 69 Euros including the shipping. Even at the current ridiculously favourable exchange rate of Euro to Dollar that is not even 100 USD. Considering what the Trumpy Cat at least seems to offer in potential regarding scratch work and presenting the jet in more original ways I'm veeeeeery happy with the price.
  6. I heard a rumor that afterburner decals had planed for a sheet on VX-9 Super Hornets decals. Does anyone know about this? I actually found a pic of the proposed markings but no respective decal sheet, not even on afterburner's homepage. http://img39.imageshack.us/img39/7157/vx9b...abenvonafte.jpg (I didn't turn it into an active link since I don't know about any copy rights. Please feel free to remove it again if I should accidently violate any regulations or such.)
  7. I'm pretty sure someone already asked this before but I couldn't find anything via qucik search so I just go and bother the forum (again ). I'm looking for deacals for this bird (don't want to post an active link since it's not my shot. hope that's o.k.?) http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/4442/102508tnsabig.jpg does anyone know if there is already some decal sheet on this machine out there? thanks everyone, help would be much appreciated.
  8. hehehehe, I guess that book is never gonna come out! Thanks a lot folks. That was all I needed to know. So if there's no convenient way, one has to take the hard one. fine with me. Thanks a lot again.
  9. Hey folks. I'm looking for decals to depict at least one of the two swordsmen Tomcats that scored aerial victories over the gulf of sidra in 1989. I think it's been modexes 202 and 207, well at least during the time of the shoot down of (what was it? MIG-23 or SU-???). I think the correct BuNo's were 159610 and 159437 but I'm not all that sure. Are there any good decals out there? thanks a lot in advance!
  10. I have another request dave!....... :P hehehe don't worry, just jokin' Thanks a lot, that was awesome. You really helped me a great deal. can't wait for the book. Btw: do you need the mail contact of Dave Pentecost? he was the pilot who actually transferred 158627 to VF-1 on 06/30/73. Anyway. Thanks for the great help!!!! Fantastic!!!!
  11. Honestly, I just love your books but I really don't envy for the work necessary to do them. RESPECT!!!! -_-
  12. Thanks again for the help folks!!! That BuNo-stuff can really drive one nutts!
  13. Sorry, didn't want to cause any trouble or anger! thanks a lot anyway.
  14. Cooooooool, Thanks so much!! that is the great thing about talking to the pros!.
  15. WHAMM!!! Thank you Dave, that was awesome! I really really appreciate it. Wish I had the list! :( Actually would you mind to help me out one more time? I like making little plaques for my dios stating from when to when the respective aircraft "lived". Would you mind telling me the first flight date of 164341 and when they scrapped "her"? That would be cool. Oh and while you are at it, any chance I could get you to tell me the first flight date and the decommission date of 158627 as well? That was the first operational cat being transferred to VF-1 in 73 as far as I know. That would be
  16. Hi Dave, thanks for the quick getback. O.K. if anyone is reliable than it is you! So I really can rest assured that 164341 definitely IS the one Tomcat that made the final Tomcat launch in July 06, right???? Can I ask what kind of documentation you refer to? I don't want to offend in any way, as you are one of the number one T-Cat sources out there. Those last weeks of "research" just left me pretty confused about it. I just want to really make sure about it, as there is dozens of other (as I always thought quite serious) info out there claiming it was 163417, Heck!!! even M.A.T.S. of al
  17. Crap, I'm really going crazy here! I'm planning to bild a depiction of the Tomcat that made the final Tomcat launch on 28 July 2006. I definitely know it was VF-31's AJ-112 Problem: There were two AJ-112's!!! and everyone says something different. One Tomcat was BuNo 163417 the other one was BuNo 164341 The decals say it's BuNo164341 that made the last launch but other sources state it was actually 163417. M.A.T.S. for instance says it was 163417 that did the last launch in July but another source says that it was already decommissioned in march 06 and 164341 made actually the last laun
