  1. Thank you Arty. I guess I will have to do a later time frame because I really like the look of the mismatched colors.
  2. I have the Hobby Boss kit and after looking at pics online I have questions about painting.I plan on depicting an early 90's vehicle. I have seen pics with mixed paint schemes so.... 1. How common were mixed schemes? 2. Was it possible to see lots of different scheme parts or was it mostly just the big parts such as hoods, doors and cabs? 3. On the NATO scheme what color was the underside of the cab and trailer? Was it camoed or a solid color? Thanks in advance.
  3. I saw it last night with my daughters and totally loved it. Although I thought it was the best STAR WARS movie in 32 years the best part for me was getting to see my girls excitement and joy. I didn't know how much they knew about the movies until last night and watched the expressions on their faces.
  4. Got tickets for the 4:15 showing Fri for me and my girls. I think they are almost as excited as I am.
  5. Ikar I believe that the props look that way because they were filmed with a digital camera.
  6. Jennings I know that most of the time they had wing tanks but I want to do one of those times they didn't just to have something different.
  7. Thank you for the answers guys. This leads to another question. Does anybody besides AMS make U.S.A.F outer pylons? I want to hang something besides tanks outboard but don't want to do Chico.
  8. I have a couple questions that I just can't find the answers to. I know they have probably been asked a dozen times I just can't find the answers. 1. Can I use the tank less outer pylons from Tamiyas F-4J on my E straight out of the box or do I need to modify them? 2. When did the gun defuser switch from short to long and were jets with the short one modified while stationed in Vietnam? Thanks in advance.
  9. David if you can't get ahold of the D-mold intakes get a set of the Sierra Hotel intakes. I got a set for my bug. They look great and it only took a couple of minutes each side to get them in place.
  10. If I remember right they are Dark Ghost Grey FS 36320 and Gunship Grey FS 36118.
  11. Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
  12. I have to take a minute and say how great they are. I've placed 3 orders for 5 sets in the last few weeks and they are awesome. I got their long F-4 exhausts ( 2 sets) 1 each of their AF and Navy intakes for the F-4 and a set of F-18A/D intakes. The casting is beautiful and easy to install with good instructions. Their ordering page is easy with cheap shipping and fast delivery. The only problem is I will have to work some over time so I can buy more stuff. If you want great parts and great service order from them
  13. I have the Wolfpack Lau-128 rails and adapters for the Tamiya F-15C. The instructions are very poor in locating them to the kit pylons. I can find picks of the rail mounted to the adapter but not the adapter to the pylon. So my question is where does the adapter mate to the kit pylon in relationship to the holes for the old kit pylons?
  14. I want one. I've always liked the look of the XL. Maybe one day we'll have a 1/32. Jennings thanks for the blast from the past and making me feel old. I moved to Edwards four months after that pic was taken. I loved living there spent twelve years there.
  15. I'm looking at resin exhausts for my F-4E and J. The Brassin ones look great and am wondering if they are the same size as the kit parts or if they are larger like the Aries parts?
  16. Hey Andrew I think the Italeri Detail set for semi trucks has a basset hound in it. Maybe you can find someone with the set willing to part with the puppy parts.
  17. I'm sure that there are videos from the cockpit of the Raptor. We probable won't get to see them for at least a few more years it's most likely classified. The round thing on the belly is a radar reflector/transponder so that the jet can be seen on radar. The F-117 had them as well. They are the diamond shaped bumps on the sides of the fuselage.
  18. Thank you Ken. I just got the F-15 print in the mail today. It looks great just have to get a frame for it. Suddenly I feel like building an F-15 for some reason.
  19. Since it's hypothetical why not use the outboard pylons? I know they haven't been fitted in years but it's as good a place as any. If the Academy D is the same as the E they should be in the box.
  20. I'll take whatever is left after Rick. They all look good to me.
  21. Thanks for the fast replies. I was thinking it was one way or the other but hoping for some of that Tamiya magic.
  22. Working on my Mustang and looking ahead while waiting for paint and glue to dry it says to install parts B21,22 for flaps down. I thought the flaps were supposed to be moveable once built. So my question to those that have built the kit can I put the flaps full up if I install these parts? I would Like to be able to move them every now and then after it's built.
  23. They are white when new but they get dirty over the years and look off white.
  24. I took my girls ages nine and twelve to see it last night. They both loved it as did I. It was better then I thought it would be. Wasn't the best movie ever but it was a good popcorn movie plus I got to spend two hours with my girls and no fighting.
