Is it supposed to come like this?
tigermeet replied to United Airlines DC-10's topic in Airliner Modeling
Personally I'd paint the tail, that way it will match the rest . I did a 747 in that scheme a few years ago and used the blue decal and then the stripes over that, and although the difference in the two blues (the decal vs what I painted) aren't identical , they are slightly different. It's not that noticeable unless you are aware of it and really look close. -
Torque....and lots of it

I didn't see that but...He still should have a sheet that looks like that for the stripes to go over the blue backround -

You're defiantly missing some of the decals. Go to the link you posted, and below the decal pic on the right just below where it says airliner cafe click on "Next" and you will see what sheet you are missing. You put the blue decal on first then overlay it with the stripes w/ UAL logo -
I used to drive a Boom truck similar to this and the operator had a small platform , one on each side, where you stood and operated the crane. The platform was located just behind where the outriggers are in the photo. I like your garbage truck. I've never seen anyone model one befoe

Recently finished this bird. Built it OOB except for the Retro Wings 8 bladed props. painted with Model Masters enamel and kit decals. The one thing I was disappointed about is when I glued the cockpit top/windscreen ,in the glue messed up the windshield on the co-pilots side on the inside so there was no way to fix it. Other than that I was happy with the way it turned out

That's cool. I remember doing that one also when I was a kid and have always liked it. I hadn't realized that it's been reissued. I'm gonna have to get one for sure -
