  1. Who's Hobby Shop in Rapid City SD in the late 70s.
  2. Glad to hear your feeling better. I am also glad to see the ARC home home is back to being updated again. I hope to make at least a couple contributions to the gallery this year. It's been ten years since my last one.
  3. A strict no politics rule works for me. I come here to get away from that sort of thing.
  4. I got rid of my FB account earlier this year along with Redit. I'm really not a big fan of the big corporate social media sites anymore. I'll just stick with the ARC forums to share hobby related things. While I don't have a lot of posts I do have a Spitfire build in the gallery and I've been a member of the forums since 2003.
  5. I lost my good friend 2 years ago in January. For 14 years he was the best dog I ever had but liver cancer finally took him from us. I feel your pain and loss even after 2 years. I can truly say it never goes away. My good friend Gus is the pug on the right.
  6. I haven't been able to get my shot yet but as soon as I'm able I will. I hope to get my notice in a month or so that I'm able to go get one. I was glad to see the J&J vaccine approved in the states this week.
  7. This is the coolest thing I've seen in over a year. A good cold suds and a well engineered kit, it don't get no better.
  8. Rogers Hobby Shop in Saginaw Michigan seems to have weathered the storm and is back open according to their web site. I'm glad for it to because he's the only decent store within 50 miles for me.
  9. I bite off more than I can chew and start kits with high parts count or I mess something up and don't want go to the trouble to fix it. Usually these two things is what stalls most of my builds.
  10. I'm with Don with on this, personally I think nothing beats a good old fashion book collection. Electronics have a planed obsolescence where good old fashion books can last for many years. I still have books from the late 90s that I refer to.
  11. I can relate, I like messing with sales people and scammers over the phone. My favourite thing to do is screw with the so called Widows Support scammers.
  12. I have recently returned to the forums after being gone for quite awhile also. Looking forward to posting again and have even entered into the latest group build. Welcome back
