  3. Hi Guys This Fw-190 was started some time ago as a part of a double wurger build, one Hasegawa 1/72 A-8 and another 1/48 Eduard A-5, I have already shared this in the portuguese forum and I´m sharing it with you fine gentlemen at ARC. http://forum.modelismo-na.net/viewtopic.php?t=13392 In this 1/72 was initily my ideia to render the aircraft of Willi Maximowitz but along the way a changed my mind and decided to do it completely different, a Us Captured Butcherbird. As for building it, this is the 1/72 hasegawa, I think old mold because I´ve seen on the web hasegawas in the same scale th

To be continued! Hope you enjoy Suggestions and complaints are always welcome Best regards Filipe
  5. Hi Guys Does anyone has any good data on captured Bf-109's G/K variants, Us or Urss color profiles that can provide a good source for a such a build? 3-Views would be outstanding!!! :) Anything??? Thanks in advance Best regards Filipe
  6. Hi Guys Thanks SrkiRad, I normally use blu-tack as well, I like it very much and you can control the edges very easily! I've done that here, in this Aggressor build http://forum.modelismo-na.net/viewtopic.php?t=12020 Congrats on the airbrush, I have to get me one of those! ;) Laurent I understand you how can it be serious if it a hobby or something we do for fun! I meant it regarding all the errors in this Mig-29 Shape and the relaxed build I was looking for! just for the fun of it :) A couple of nice memories with does old matchbox kits :) I still have a couple of them in the stash!!! 7. Hi Guys Another small update on the Mig-29. Corrected a bit of the over-spray with another go at the grey color, painted nose and rudder tips. 8. Hi Guys Thanks Arne and Andre. I know unfortunately the shape is a bit of from the real thing but I´m not giving up on it, gonna finish it and move on to the next project! All things considered it is being a fun and relax build, I´m enjoying it and might I had I'm feeling like building another in the future but from a better mold! The aircraft deserves it You´re right Andre, I had it in the stash for some time and felt like building it, I wasn't going to trow it away, besides these oldys are fun to put together if you're in the mood for it! Very nice looking model/diorama Arne, Congrat
  9. Hi Guys Pandabear and SrkiRad, thanks for your interest. I going to leave it has it is, I´m happy with the joints like this! This model is being a very fun build, in the future I want to build a more serious Mig-29 maybe from the italeri mold! For now, I´m going to finish this one and move on This weekend I had little time and painted the model, both colors were home mixed, the gray is mixed Vallejo model air 49/50 and the green is tamiya XF-65 with a bit of grey to tone it down! Next step is to finish painting the nose, rudder tips and the rest of the details! To be continued! Hope you
  10. Hi Guys Thanks Laurent, the fun part of sharing our builds in forums is exactly that, share opinions, thoughts and ideas with fellow modelers! I´m not going to turn on the syndrome on this one just want to finish it for the fun of it :) Here it goes! All fitting problems corrected and the machine is primed up and ready for paint! After taking this photos, I realized that I had forget to fix the inner rudders/fuselage joints, as you can see, so I did it with a bit of white glue and we´re ready, Let the fun begin :) To be continued! Hope you enjoy Suggestions and complaints are always we
  11. Hi Guys Couldn't agree with you more Berkut, all manufacturers got the fuselage right!? Impossible. This means a correct canopy, correct air intakes, correct nose... and so on... No such luck, nobody has it 100%. In the magazine is the only graph that addresses these issues, the rest of the article is about model detail and such things! I have read a couple of time ago that the ICM mold is the best, but never had it in my hands! It sure includes nice color schemes! Laurent, feel free my friend, I even thank you, I can't be building it and not have interest in really knowing the how's and wh
  12. Hi Guys Regarding the last post on this build here´s a graphic concerning shape problems in several Mig-29 Molds, from Aerei Modellismo magazine! Best regards Filipe
  13. Hi Guys Thanks Laurent, I probably suffer from that too! Considering other builds in my workbench I have no cure, its too late :) Cloggy, thanks for the support, fortunately the fins are not that big of an issue, the original 29's didn't had them extended, other parts, such as the stabilizers are definitely a bit of from the real machine! It will be Gray/Green under the red star :) Best regards Filipe Original fin/Original fin extended - According to Zlínek Publication
  14. Hi Guys Thanks Andre, I didn't now but was imagining it being from those times, before the wall, when nobody new for sure the specifications of this aircraft and everybody feared it ;) Laurent, what does that expression mean anti-ams, is it like a no-stress kind of build? Besides all the work needed its kind of fun bringing this old models to life :D Here it goes, another update on the machine, still correcting a few fitting set backs so I can finish the primer and start to paint it! The front gear had to be raised 2mm, I didn't thought it would need that much but it did! the canopy w
  15. Hi Guys Thanks Fustercluck, its an old Esci Kit, dont now the year of the mold, but its an oldy does anyone now? Best Regards Filipe
  16. Hi Guys First of all let me say thanks and congratulations to everyone in this forum, this is my first post here, but I´ve been a fan of ARC for many years now visiting it almost daily. Outstanding place  Thanks I currently building this old Esci model of the Mig-29A Fulcrum, I´ve already posted a few pics in my homeland forum the Portuguese http://forum.modelismo-na.net I will be trying to post things in both accordingly! It is an old kit and it seems the cast is not the most faithful to the original machine, but I think with a little work it can capture the "feel" of the Mig-2
