Ferrari group build poll question
rm20886 replied to phantom's topic in Automotive General Discussion
I second this thought. There are so many super cars out there today it would bring in more people to the GB. -
I am going to grab another JJ Vega and use the decals from it to do up the van. I'll make the van and trailer match the car. I love this car! In fact I was seriously contemplating a shot at the Revell kit to make a change from the pointy stuff and push my painting 'skills' (HA!) -will watch this build with interest. There is some good stuff on the 'net about Jim and 'Jungle Pam'; wish I'd had a chance to see him rock!. Hey ChippyWho, I wish I had seen JJ as well. Grab a kit and join in on the fun! Rob

That would be cool, maybe with a retro B-210. :o

That is looking really nice. Where did you find the parafilm? Rob

I have been able to get some really good modelling time in over the weekend. I want to thank RCAF100 for all of your input to help me with this project. I was not able to do everything you suggested but I learned a lot. I was able to get the fuselage sealed up, wings on, engine built and installed. I also used MV lenses for the landing lights and will use the lenses for the navigation lights once the painting is completed. Now I am on to masking the canopy. I really don't care mush for this step. Here is a shot of the beast. Not pretty, but I hope that will change as the painting process

I have a couple of Tamiya Enzos to build. This is a great way to move the kits from storage to display shelf.

I would jump in on this build.

There was an antique store here that had several different types of birds the owner kept. One of the birds would swear like a drunken sailor when encouraged. I guess someone had taught the bird some choice words. I got a real kick out of this when some unsuspecting person would walk by and the bird would tell them where to go. The look on their face was classic. So make sure to watch your lanquage around these creatures.

I would suggest that you go into the bios of your computer when booting it up. Watch closely when you turn your computer on and it will tell you what key to press to access the bios. In the bios make sure the drive is listed. If it is not listed there you can add it back in and that should resolve your issue. I have seen this happen many times. Rob

Pssst! Wanna buy an Avro Arrow Ejection Seat?
rm20886 replied to JohnS's topic in General Discussion
Interesting development. I hope the whole truth is unvailed one of these days. I agree with Litvyak that the seat should find its way into a museum here in Canada. I didn't win the lottery either so I can't help. Rob -
I will take 51 Hasegawa RA-5C Vigilante 1:72 2qwik4u

I am really looking forward to this today. I would like to donate a kit to the raffle. I hope it isn`t to late to do so. Dragon 1/48 Ju 88C-6 Rob

In the IT industry we often refer to computer problems like this as an ID-10-T error.

Heller 1:48 Mirage 2000D "Kandahar" Upgrade
rm20886 replied to Simone Macchia's topic in General Discussion
To rich for my blood. I see it contains photo-etch details. I have to admit, I have spent more on buying the kit, an aftermarket cockpit, photo-etch, etc. -
Only one more week to go!

I wonder what raindeer is lodged in the engine. Very funny

I found this on another forum. Welcome home crew. HMS Ocean

Just saw this on the news. My prayers are with the families of the soldiers who were killed.

I don't think what you said was harsh at all. Life can really stomp on a person day in and day out. Having the ability to vent and share the load with others that understand helps us all cope with the bad times. Getting lost in a model is a great way to forget what bothers us.
-
Hard to argue with that. Some people have the gift to take plain material and build it into something as beautiful as this. Dang, just when I thought I was doing well.

I really don't have any issues with reading about the so called negative. The way I see it is we share a common interest in aircraft modelling. So, we all have this in common. The other topics in this general area are often very interesting, fun, and sometimes a little touching. The topics that are not of interest to me I don't read. Simple as that. I can really appreciate having a group of people with common interests to share tough issues. There is an overwhelming amount of support which can be really helpful. Rob

I was thinking it was a recent re-issue. That explains why I don't recall seeing it. Nice choice for this GB. Rob

That is looking really nice. I'll be following this along. -
Nice start on the 240. When did that kit come out? I have never seen it before.
