  1. Great info and pics, thanks Ken.
  2. Ah thanks, good info. Thank you all. The cockpit color is a custom mix. Do you know if there is refueling probe in some variants cause i see it on the prototype. Here is the 27sm cockpit for reference.
  3. Hi everyone, Im returning back to the hobby after quiet a long while. My last build was back in high school Here is the video that inspired me and I plan to build all of the planes in the video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wS2r16bowKk I started on the old Airfix flanker i picked up at a show, just couldn't resist the good deal :D I decided to do a Su-27sm like the one in the video, since they are currently being used and have replaced the old flanker B version. I have started with the cockpit panel, after some dry fitting i found the original panel had gaps on the sides so i d
  4. Beautiful :thumbsup:/> ! Excellent paint job and weathering :clap2:/> Speaking of decals for the cockpit here is a bit of the artwork I trying for my MKM, while im waiting for the seats
  5. Wow that's great progress. The cockpit and intakes look nice. I wonder if this build will join ur other four flankers. That would be awesome
  6. You will need to layer the two images, one on top of the other and play with the opacity. . . here is a tutorial that shows how, hope it helps. . btw great side-on shot of the flanker. . . do they allow visitors to lipetsk
  7. Like the weathering job, looks really grimy!
  8. The interior looks really nice nice paint job too.
  9. Thanks for the really great upload, and even greater artwork. cool!
  10. Firstly, I cant wait to get my hand on a few of these kits, I'm so excited just thinking about them, going to get at least 3 so i can build all 3 versions. And secondly, the bays don't bother me at all, like Laurent said most of the wheel bay is hidden by the intake, in fact they do look a bit angled to me. Here is my observation of the kits contents: - 6 tails for 3 different versions - 4 elevator/horizontal tails (one for j-11 and one for Su-27) - 2 nose cones/radomes (one for j-11 and one for Su-27) - 2 different instrument panels (one for j-11 and one for Su-27) -
  11. Super build as always, I really enjoy your builds, will be following it. You are not just the Flankerman you are also the Scratchbuild-Man.
  12. 1/72!! have got to say that is the most detailed flanker I have ever seen in 1/72 !! Even though it is a pic of a prototype or WIP, I do hope they improve the canopy. Still very glad to see this, good work Trumpy . And thank you for sharing.
  13. Very well done. Really nice paint work as well. Great job.
