  1. Has anybody actually managed to build any Zhengdefu kit? I know their MiG-25 is just a half-melted copy of the ancient Hasegawa one from the late 70s.
  2. Well done, doubly so since it's an Amodel kit! I swear, they must got out of their way to make the parts as ill-fitting as possible...
  3. I believe so, but you can contact Kotey (owner of Begemot) directly for clarification. You can just PM him on this site.
  4. If Kotey is reading this, what markings do you have planned for the kit? I imagine one of the Flankers that took part in Syria is a given!
  5. office@hobby-pro.com is Zvezda's customer support email. The replacement parts are free. It can take a few weeks for the parts to get to your place from Russia, though.
  6. https://russianplanes.net/new Back in action! (and no, not an April Fools Joke.)
  7. They initially reboxed the Condor kit, but later released their own mold. Their own version (like their MiG-29C and MiG-25PD/PDS kits) is a vastly improved version of the Condor kit, with far better details, panel lines, and fit.
  8. I should've posted this a few months ago, so I hope nobody got burned. Turns out this is a rip off. After ordering in May, Scratchaviation suddenly became silent. Two months later and many attempts at communication later,I was forced to go to PayPal for a refund. I got my money back. Beware if you order this kit.
  9. I believe Kotey said that Zvezda intends to make every Fulcrum variant, so there's still hope!
  10. That's awesome you got to pose with your Eagle! Looks like you're right, too, about Testors aluminum being a far better match than their titanium. I've got a Strike Eagle in the pipeline too, so this helps.
  11. I'm 98% certain they did, but it fell off the radar for so long most assumed they canceled it. I definitely need to get one.
  12. If you directly ordered from Begemot, Kotey is very specific that you never specify "Syrian" in any of the comments...
  13. What other minor details will I need to do for the classic camo SMTs?
  14. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Northrop-T-38A-Talon-Minicraft-Hasegawa-Airplane-Model-Kit-BOX-1-72nd-Scale-/272672846775?hash=item3f7c9173b7:g:1gYAAOSw-0xYPqpQ I can't be the only one who has stumbled upon this before. Once in a while, I'll find someone selling an empty scale model box on ebay. Not a complete kit or anything, just an empty box. Is there a collector's market out there for empty scale model boxes? I know GWH and I think Trumpeter includes small posters of the box art with their kits, but still....$16 for an empty box?
  15. The only animals that visit my backyard are squirrels and hares. Back in Ohio, it was only crows, foxes, and the occasional coyote...never bears, though!
  16. I came to this topic to say this. Hobbycraft's 1/72 MiG-25 is the Hasegawa kit, but severely malformed. One side of the fuselage is larger than the other, so it will always be asymmetrical. The fine raised panel lines (already a royal pain in the behind on the Hasegawa kit) are rendered poorly and don't match up. The canopy is just solid, clear plastic- no ridges or anything. All the parts have a ton of flash on them, and the pilot figure has even less detail than the original Hasegawa version. The only time the kit was slightly worthwhile was the "War on Terror" boxing, which had
  17. http://russianplanes.net/id209480 Here's one sporting a light grey/dark grey scheme somewhat reminiscent of Serbian Fulcrums.
  18. Spanish resin manufacturer, Scratchaviation (aka Scratchaeronautics), will be releasing a resin 1/72 MiG-35 kit. Other than Deagostini's diecast 1/161 model, this will pretty much be the only MiG-35 kit so far. It's available for pre-order on their page for 40 euros, or about $45. http://scratchaviation.webs.com/apps/webstore/products/show/7388373 Their Facebook page shows off their other kits: https://www.facebook.com/Scratchaeronautics/ Anyways, I'm glad someone has stepped up to provide a kit that has been sorely lacking in the Soviet/Russian scale modeller's co
  19. Yeah, Guy will email you the instructions. He's helped me out a few times in that regard.
  20. The AKAN paint is a 1:1 match, and like DonSS3 said, photos are taken using the flash. Lighten with AKAN 73146 Radome/Radiotransparent White if the color seems too dark.
  21. I grabbed it off Facebook and didn't notice the cut-off watermark until you pointed it out, otherwise I would've linked the original. I thought this version of the MiG-35 was a "lighter" one that wasn't quite as advanced as the M2. Has a less capable radar or something like that. Still, Russia seems confident that it'll match the F-35. My hope too, but in 1/72 scale as well!
