  1. Thanks JC, look like I need to do a generic sheet and let the modeller make their own mind up, I did find this information on the 20th FW website, http://www.20fwa.org/history/20th_fighter_...-111_era_begins On 16 January 1991 a 42nd ECS EF-111A, operating from Taif, was credited with the first aerial kill of the war. It was attacked by an Iraqi Mirage fighter while flying a night mission near the Saudi-Iraq border. To defeat the Iraqi fighter, the EF-111A descended to minimum altitude on its Terrain Following Radar (TFR). The Mirage slammed into the ground while trying to follow the EF-11
  2. Thanks for that Benner, I'll keep you in mind...it may take a while as this build is on a whim and I have three F-111C's currently on the bench about to go into the paint shop. I'll need to track down a few more images of 66-0016 as there seem to be a few Zaps on her as well. Cheers Budgie
  3. Thanks Jay and JC, I will keep an eye out for the CED Sheet. But I might have to go with the other option (Hannants) and once I have the size of the unit markings and emblems, make up my own decals as I already have the artwork for Taz. Cheers budgie
  4. Thanks Julien I"ll keep that one as a spare as I'd love to do AF66-6016.
  5. Hi all, picked up the KITECH EF-111A for $1.00 to use as spares, but decided what the heck I'll build an Electric Fox. The major issue is the decals, so I'm interested if you've build a Spark vark and either have the Academy ones spare or I'm interested if you have an leftovers from the Cutting Edge Sheet 48048. Happy to pay incl postage also willing to trade as I have PYN Decals for B-26 or Spare CED48241 (OIF F-15E). Cheers Phil Parsons aka "Budgie"
  6. Thanks for that guys, Sorry I should have checked F111.net first DOH and then this morning I see the new F-111 sprue shots that include everything that I currently scratch build, hopefully this will see some decal manufacturers release some new selections. The Anti Collision light are the Red Rotating beacons, again F111.net cleared that one up as well Cheers Time to start saving for the new release Budgie
  7. Hi there, I normally reside over on Aussie Modeller Intl so this is my first post here. I have recently begun construction on a 1/48 EF-111A, I did originally buy it for a song and was going to use it for spare parts, but decided to make a Spark Vark, as I usually make RAAF F-111C and G’s. So I need some help from the American Community as my exposure to the Electric Fox is limited. 1. Did the EF,s ever use ALE 40 or 47 or did they stay with ALE28? (Chaff and Flare dispensers) 2. It appears that there are two Anti Collision lights under the Fuselage, is this correct. 3. Did they have t
