  1. All, I have a Hasegawa 1/48th scale F/A-18C that I need a new canopy for. I put on some masking material in the hopes of painting it but the paint job got really delayed (try over a year). Anyway, the masking material (a combo of tamiya masking tape and Gunze liquid mask) had to come off as it was really old and shrivelled. When I pulled the masking material off, the canopy was crazed and blurred. I tried to polish it but managed to break it in half with my fat thumbs.... Any help on where to procure a new canopy for this kit would be great. Thank you for reading.

Awesome work!! You need the 600 gal fuel tanks from the barkeet!! Great work!!!
  3. Hello, Does anyone know anything about the new Strike Eagle from Hasegawa?? HLJ has them for about 5200JPY and I am wondering if its worth it. New kit?? New box with old inaccurate kit?? Thank you!
  4. Be advised...if you order this model from the online website at Squadron, you will need to enter the "Source" code on the back of your July flyer. The price on the website is $39.20, but with the source code it automatically changes to $20. I called them to ask if you must know. Happy modelling.
  5. I checked out one that a friend has and it looks nice. For $20, it cannot be beat, I am getting one.
  6. Ok, sounds good. I always make sure every paint coat dries at least 24hrs before adding another coat, future, etc...etc. I will make sure to keep the windex light on the quantity. Thank you for your reply.
  7. Well, I just saw from another thread, I think it was "for a smooth gloss coat or finish", not totally sure. In that thread someone mentioned that thinning Future with windex or any ammonia based fluid would attack acrylic paint. Please, can someone help on this? The future/windex idea is working very well but I don't want my paint job to be ruined by this mix. Anyone had any acrylic (or any paint for that matter!) paint crazed or attacked when thinning Future with Windex???? Thanks.
  8. I haven't had any problems with MM thinned with H2O out of my Iwata HP C+. I thin it to skim milk and no problems. I will try thin lines and see what happens, I have been spraying larger areas. Also, I am spraying at around 10-12psi. Thanks for the thread.
  9. Watching this build closely.......I have one ready to go as well. Happpy modelling!!!
  10. Nice build!! I saw this bird at the Blizzardcon in Columbus and it was very impressive!! For the decals I have heard people using Gunze Mr Mark Softer for thicker decals but beware.........I would experiment a little as I have heard that Mr Mark Softer can also completely dissolve the decals as well!! Nice looking bird. I have this exact kit at home and want to do a JASDF Two Bobs scheme with it. Happy Modeling!!
  11. Very nice job!! And no airbrush as well??? I am impressed. An airbrush someday will open up a whole new world, and even sometimes a whole big can of worms!! ;) Keep up the good work, I like your RWR scratch building.

nice job!! Great painting as well, you have captured the feathered edge very well!!!
  13. Unbelievable!! Excellent job and your work is very inspirational. Thank you for posting.
  14. Nice build, good job on the paint!!! Did you fix the Kinetic F-16 "nose droop" or just leave it as is? Just wondering as I built the Barack and left the nose alone and it is a definite droop that is noticeable. Keep up the good work!!!
  15. I have heard this kit was a beauty and you have certainly done it justice!!!
