  1. You do know that Mastercasters makes one right... http://www.mastercasters.co.uk/3.html
  2. I suggest you contact David Winter at Canuck Models, he made decals for the 1-72nd version, with some stencils (granted not all) but he may have the references you need. Likely he cannot print a 1-48th sheet for you, but who knows, maybe the art work. You can then print them yourself. I would not go the way of dry stencils, it is VERY easy to print quality decals on water slide paper (and you do not need a printer, just an office Depot close by), as long as there is no white inolved... which should be the case for stencils. Stencils maybe smallish, but I would at least give it a try... depend
  3. Why I have not made a CF-100 yet is a question worth pondering. First of all, I think the Clunk surname is very a-propos, this aircraft is not very sexy... and then you have the Hobbycraft kit, which is not full of praise and which has not been built a whole lot... But the canadian aviation afficionnado in me always knew the importance of this aircraft to Canada, and deep down, I knew I would build one some day. What got me going was the new beautiful decals from Canuck Models, seems this was the little push I needed. I will build a Mk4 of 440 Sqn in European scheme, and a Mk5, most probably f
  4. Looks great, can't wait, I will be buying a few sheets,,,
  5. Awesome build John, time and patience always pays-off. JUst the right amount of overspray on the camo, nice subtle paint touch-ups and weathering, nice play with the different color tones. You nailed it ! Can't wait for the next one ! :thumbsup:/>
  6. Gil Hodges over at Hyperscale built this kit a while ago... He has the same problem as me with his photos on the HS thread... but I found his photobucket account... http://smg.photobucket.com/user/slowhandshodges/library/P-3C%20Orion%20build?sort=3&page=1
  7. Wow, you've got balls of steel my friend, just seeing this vaccum formed styrene send me chills... I made a 1-72nd Tutor and Arrow a longgggg time ago and I still got bruises to show... I will be watching, I built an Hasegawa CP-140 with Canuck models decals a while ago, best of luck on your build. I built up quite a few refs for this build, if you need anything just let me know. The pics do not show up -- Stupid Photobucket... http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?showtopic=259541&st=0&p=2461344&hl=cp-140&fromsearch=1entry2461344 You can see the pics here: https:/
  8. You should check this out : http://www.umm-usa.com/mygallery/hercules009.html
  9. ...I think I can see some touch-ups... this is going to look nice... What is your gloss coat ?
  10. Wow ! :salute:/>/> I like it very much, we see eye to eye when it comes to camo work ! Great talent and hard work really pays off... Do you intend to make those paint touch-ups as per the photo you included ?? ...that would look great, I did that for my last CF-5 and liked it... YF
  11. I like your attention to detail, and can't wait to see how you pull-off the tonal effect on the main cam, I am sure it will look great ! I went to check out the H&S brush, surely looks impressive on the Chicago Airbruah site... http://www.chicagoairbrushsupply.com/infinity-2-in-1-from-harder-steenbe.html Seems a bit pricy, mind if I ask where you bought yours ? I have a Iwata HP-C which has served me well so far... but am looking to upgrade...
  12. Love the painting and tonal variations John, what airbrush and thinner are you using ??
  13. Very colorful ! Looks like the seat sticks out above the canopy ?..
  14. I think there is a difference between visible and legible, I agree that 1-48th stencils may not be legible, but they are visible, like Colin said, Leading Edge and other companies have done it very successfully. Having said that, I can understand that the business case may not be there to print all the visible stencils (time invested vs more sheet sales etc...), heck, maybe only me and Colin give a hoot... I have never bought a single sheet from that other manufacturer charging an arm and a leg with no stencils what so ever... It's your company, and these are (some of) your customers speakin
  15. Well then, I am really dissapointed, I don't do 1-32nd, and I don't believe stencils in 1-48th are invisible...
  16. Wow... I see 133345 in there with the big Kiwi under the Mushroom... been waiting for this scheme for a longgggg time... I am buying two in 1-48th... Please do 1-48th with full stencils... plenty of Hobbycrap kits around...
  17. Fantastic model ! I love your photo background, what is it, where can I get one ?
  18. There were two of those on sale for $5 at my Club Meeting tonight... No takers ! Smart modellers !

  20. Great model, congradulations on the award and article. I love how the Greeks are careless about their aircraft's appearance, makes for great modelling subjects !!! :woot.gif:/>
  21. Nice pic. This is the "Kiwi" from Base flight Baden (GTTF), the Penguin was when Baden housed 4(W) with Sabres... If Dave is thinking of doing Baden T-33s, I got a truck load of references on 1 GTTF birds... I would buy those in a moment !!!
  22. I live in St-jean and there are two Canucks here, one Mk5D at the Military college, in rather good state, and one Mk2T at the base (recruit school) in pretty sad state but salvageable...
  23. I do not think I am going out on a limb here by saying there are no canopy antennas on CT-133s...
  24. I have been repatriating my old models from my parent's basement, un-dusting them and fixing whatever is broken. They were all built between 1983 and 1991. Those that are worth it will go thru the photo shoot... It is amazing how the memories pour back when handling and looking at those early kits, remembering all the issues, problems and solutions... Time flies my friends, keep modeling...
