  1. Yeah I saw those, but the problem is that there are just too many that were missing from the sheet. The rescue arrows and dotted lines around the windows are missing as well. I decided to get the same effect for all of them instead of half one color and half another color. I did see another sheet from flightdeck aswell, but it says its not done yet and its been quite a while. I'll see how this turns out, and if it comes down to it, I'll wait for the flightdeck ones because they look pretty good.
  2. Well.... I tried everything, I tried making my own decals and that didnt work. Then I tried finding decals online and it was a no go, at least for now. So I tried something new, I cut stencils and started painting away my frustrations. The most frustrating thing about it is that the kit came with markings for this particular aircraft. I dont know why, but they are greenish looking and are severely miscoloured. Anyways, heres what I have accomplished so far today, i have to let it dry a bit before I continue because its getting hard to handle and tape up. My cutting and taping has been te
  3. Im not, and it has nothing to do with condo's or homeowners. Only place on earth you can fire a tank, jet, c7, c8, m9, or eryx from 9 to 5 but you have to take a course to fire a hunting rifle. And we also have the lakes that are now impossible to fish without having to go to a pouvoirie or rent a float plane to go up near james bay. Man this place just keeps getting better and better. And we wont talk about the fact that i cant have a clothes line, fire pit, project car, or boat in the yard.
  4. I actually heard from the guy that produced the plans for almost every water purification plant in the montreal area that thinners and oils actually make the burning process hotter and make the water better. Now if this is true or not is left for debate because he wanted me to dump oil in the drain for him. I didnt do it, but it could be that he is right seeing how he did make the plans for the plant. However, I wonder about his motives for telling me that. Hmmmm... I actually mix all my oil, prestone, thinners etc... and bring it to my local garage -> canadian tire is just across the
  5. Simple, to store the fishing boat. At least thats what I like to think of it for.
  6. Wow, hard time looking at those. Not much left.
  7. Well its been a while since I could do any work on my models and the way its going it may still be another week till I can get anything else done. Oh well, at least I made some progress this morning. I managed to work a bit on the floor. I cut away the piece in the center and made the cavity. Also tried to add the little metal piece around the opening nearest the seat. It still needs some work, but for that I need time which I ran out of today. I finally decided to do the actual aircraft that served in combat. It probably wont be 100% due to lack of documentation on the actual bird, but
  8. Awesome, thanks! I am planning on using the kit decals or making my own for that aircraft. I really like the way this one looks. Thank you very much John for the pics!

  10. Those canopies are a pain in the rear to mask to start off with and very frustrating to deal with in my experience. I wish you good luck and patience. I ended up dropping mine while I was painting it and cracked the canopy aswell. After a 10 year build I dropped it in the final stages, talk about irony. Awesome work on that apu. Slow progress is better than no progress, lol, at least thats what I tell myself everytime I pick up a piece of plastic. Looking forward to seeing the paint go on.
  11. Thank you very much guys for the tips. Im not decided yet if I am going to do the wartime or restored version of this A/C yet. Progress has been almost non existent this week because of work. Im running on about 10 hours of sleep for 3 days now, so hopefully we will get some rest and continue a bit of work on this sucker tomorrow. You guys are giving me tons of great ideas for this build! Keep em' comming, and thank you again. Progress updates very very soon! hopefully. B-17 guy - Hopefully I can cut away and make the gauges this week John - Thanks for the cockpit tip, Im hoping to m
  12. You could also try painting some decal paper the same color and cut strips to make the framing. Just place the decals and thats it. As for the nose radar, thats pretty dissapointing. I put together the older kit and made one relatively easily out of a piece of sprue and putty. I was hoping they would have added it when they made the new box. Thanks for the info and keep up the good work! It would be nice to see an old voyageur in the green paint, dont see too much of them.
  13. Not too sure about that, lol. Didnt they hide a plane for a while? Now that should of been easy to find, the girl even took off from inside the camp. That klink wasnt too bright. But I dont remember no jeep either in the show.
