  1. Do you have any photo references for your armament? It appears that the Hellfire missiles are incorrectly mounted to the sides of the launch rails -- they should instead be hanging directly under each rail.
  2. Andy, if you want to offload that resin CC nose, I'd be interested in taking it off your hands.
  3. It has some issues. Fuselage length is incorrect, panel lines around the transmission area don't jive, the intake openings are too narrow, and the canopy is decidedly not as bulged as it should be. That being said, yes, it is the nicest 1/35th AH-1W kit on the market.
  4. Love the handcrafted decal work. One of a kind!
  5. Ok, we need some more info: 1. What "marine colors" are you talking about? Overall green? 3-color? Low-viz gray? 2. What type and era? UH-1N? UH-1E? 1970's, 1980's, Desert Storm? OIF/OEF? 3. Please specify what air filter you need help with. Attaching a picture would help. Thanks.
  6. Dave Roof has some really kick-butt photo CDs on his website.... it's either Flying Leathernecks Decals, or Orion Scale Models. wait, here it is: http://orionscalemodels.com/OrionProfileCD.html The CD's are full walkarounds, and then some! But hopefully he can chime in here and answer your specific question on how the doors work. I don't think he has any work experience with the CH-46, but hopefully can point you in the right direction. I know he knows a ton of guys in Marine aviation. I'll have to look at one in the depot next time I go to work.
  7. Short story: Nice-fitting kit will leave you with an ill-shaped & inaccurate end product. I do depot-level maintenance on the AH-1Ws and almost always try to build up the 1/48 Italeri kits for the guys that request them from me.... They fit easier on most desk displays, and the curves & canopy shape are WAY more accurate than the 1/35th model. For your first helo in 46 years, there are much easier kits than one that -(even after a manufacturer's "update")- still needs resin and scratchbuilding to pass off as semi-accurate. If I recall, the AFV kit comes with decals for only Taiwan,
