  1. What a build!! It`s alway a great learning experience to watch your builds. I, like most builders would like to emphasize your painting and weathering skills - top class! And you choose subjects where you can use your skill to the max, without getting flak about overdone or unrealistic. More builds please! Maybe a German F-4F in the latest two-tone grey scheme for your next build? Another thing that I would like to commend you for is the press on attitude. Yes, the CF-104 has some differences that you didn`t catch on during the build - but you press on, no matter. My fav is the F/A-18C -
  2. Hi All! Anyone have any news about this important new kit? Cheers, wouldbeiceman
  3. Illu - the new Kinetic F-16 kit are indeed as potez says wrong, no matter what version you try to build. The MLU has so many omissions, due to the fact that Kinetic uses the same sprues for all versions. Just the shape of the base of the fin/ parapack is a no-no. The list for the errors just goes on. But that goes for us nit-pickers - the most important part of this hobby is having fun. But since the topic here is the best jet kit I think it fair to give a qualified opinion on the F-16. Flew it for 17 years - miss it every day! My choice is the Tamiya 1/48 F-84G - super
  4. Very Cool - it`s from Norway! As you mentioned, this is not a RNoASF loadout - Yet! Who knows what capabilities we`ll see in the future for our F-35s. Right now there quite busy looking after Bears and Mays, coming down the GIUK gap.
  5. Dai - great progress and following this build with much interest. Do you know who`s gonna produce the new F-86F with slats? And what version? I have 3 F-40s to build, all with the Kasl slat set. Your quite right - instructions could be better for installment. The set is really nice! Keep updates coming!
  6. Yep Habu2 - just like I said. But maybe it will be a better starting point for a "correct" RNoAF MLU - the waiting game is on!
  7. I just think that the Hase F-15 looks more "correct" shapewise than the GWH. You just have to add a little goodies....And voila - a beautiful F-15.
  8. Just built a F/A-18B - very pleasantly surprised. Read up on how to tackle the nose, which is over engineered. Liked the design for folded wings , but the kit needs new wheels (why is that "always" the weakest link with kinetic?). I used Fightertown decals for a VFA-125 bird from Reagan, but the kits decals look really nice too. Check Six and build something!
  9. The list of mods to make Kinetic a correct MLU (whatever that means to the builder) would take some serious rescribing and adding multiple aftermarket sets. But if you`re happy with building it straight from the box that can be done. It will not be a block 5/10/15 or MLU. I`ve said it many times - the MLU is the most challenging F-16 versions to get "right/ correct", due to the fact that the airframe was heavily modified over the years. And different nations had the need for different mods, mostly to cracks in the fuselage, but also avionics, pods, RWR, RAM panels +++. I prefer a small mo
  10. This could very much be the benchmark kit for the F-16 in 1/48. The reason for this view is the fact the the F-16 is nearing it`s operational end (although Lockheed Martin will have us belive otherwise) and that there are so many decent/ good/ excellent kits out there. It seems that the F-16B family model has the front fuselage/ cockpit 3D printed - wow! I hope that the kit will include the RWR antennas on the parabrake housing and provision to drill a hole for the ID light (called Russian light in RNoAF) on the port side. Also hoping for tinted canopy - not just a clear one. Butl Minibase loo
  11. Voila - looks very nice. Maaaybe the main fins are a little short? Will most def order a few. Thanks for the photos👍
  12. Best F-35 build so far🤩 Have the same decals and look forward to this build. Nobody can resist a RNoAF aircraft😍
  13. Hi! Those AGM-119 Penguins look super-nice - thanks for the find!
  14. Yes, I have the pylons from 3D. Not sure about the shape though. Will use them on the RNoAF block 5 build in the future. But ECIPS.... WoW - that would be something! 🤩
