I had put it off also.. but finally just emailed him to ask a couple of questions and confirm prices for what I wanted, shipping, etc. After he answered (very helpful guy) I sent the paypal and then tried to forget about it for a while.. that was the worst part. I think the estimate is 15 days for production and 10 or so for shipping. My shipping was a little quicker but I believe I just caught the right tail-winds or soimething. Anyway, nice guy, very informative and if I continue with present plans I'm sure I'll be getting more.. especially when all the T.B.A. and 'coming soon' stuff is ava

I was travelling in northeastern Arizona a few days ago.. We had stopped on Second Mesa for pictures.. I think we were at about 7,200 feet elevation. I heard familiar sounds so I pointed my movie camera up and saw my first refueling (from the ground). I've got about 00:01:15 of video, but after about 30 sec I loose a lot of detail. After that I can see what looks like fuel streaming for a sec or two a couple of times, but with long zoom, a lot of wind and me standing on a rock at the edge of a big overhang, it has a lot of movement. Any idea what the lighter plane is? AWACS? Jack

I'm trying to learn about ALPS printers for making decals. I see several different models listed for sale on ebay and in various forums, but I don't know one model from another. Do they all use the same printing technique, or are some dry and some inkjet, or whatever. Any info or suggestions for specific models would be appreciated. Thanks! Jack UPDATE: After I posted this I had more time to search back through previous posts and found a >>THREAD<< that answered most all of my questions. I'll leave this for anyone else that might want the info! And Thanks! to all of the conti

The carrier elevators I've seen pictures of always look (to me) like they're the same anti-skid surface as the rest of the deck. Some models I've seen and also some aftermarket products (PE) look like maybe very closely spaced grating.. which doesn't look like what I thought they really were. Can someone help.. were any elevators on any of the modern U.S. carriers ever anything but the non-skid surface like on the deck? Thanks! Jack

"Blocks for Dummies..." Uh, you should have got "F-16 Fighting Falcon for Dummies". I presume you came home with a book dealing with toddler toys; once you unwrapped the wrapping, right? They getcha every time. Right, Animal... that's the one! I was merely using the 'street' name. Maybe the reason you couldn't find it is because it's in the cooking section.. right next to "Block Soup". I'm the toddler here, or at least that's how I feel with a re-kindled interest in vipers. I think the last F-16 I actually built (as opposed to just having the kit) was a 1/32 fsd/'A' in about 1980. An

AB, indeed it was a superb quarter inch DJ.. but I also seem to have become bitten by the viper bug. I went out today and bought a copy of "Blocks for Dummies".. I figure that's my best place to start. I'll work on that while I start that big cat you sent. Thanks guys!! Jack

Matt & Hatchet: THANKS for the good advice!! According you what you both say, I should be in good shape! At least being further away from the compressor will be easier on my ears when it decides to replenish the tank! Cheers!! Jack
