yeah! You did one of my favorite Phantoms!! Using the "J kit as basic is good idea, how did you manage to get the thin wing and the smaller main wheel? This I consider the main obstacle to get a correct "B/N" version.

ahhhhh...thank you for cat pics!! I like this plane really! But some pics don t appear here....:-( Maybe you have a pic from a jag in winter camo? (one of my favorites) BTW: the pic above is not a tiger meet scheme, but the retirement scheme! And this makes my fingers dissy...and hot to start the odd Airfix kit to start the retirement jag!!!!

hello phantom Phriend! well, I faced the same problem and experienced that the alcald colors are to bright. Pale burnt metal is to yellow/gold, jet exhaust also notmatching so well...it is very good for modern jets, but not for the "smoky" phantom. I used Humbrol 27003 polished steel for the "ripped" area behind the burners (according to the recommendation from Neil Ashby in the book "Modelling the F-4 Phantom", Osprey Modelling). The side panels I use Alclad steel and stainless steel, and mix it (even with jet exhaust or/and palu burnt metal, dark alu....). To get a darker shade I add some b

I am still waiting for some items from Paul too! Payment was done nov. 16 by paypal! A small parcel like this does not take more than 10 days to come to my home from the States normally as I know from other deals with US sellers. Still frustrated...

I "borrowed" two Sidewinders from a F-16DG/DJ and glued them on my Hasegawa F-4J. I replaced the original rails with the rails from the Hase A-4. Fit is very good and detaling too. I added the Two bobs decals for the AIM 9L. For this purpose you must do some triming because the Kinetic winders are a bit thinner, but they are better detailed than the ones from the Hasegawa weapons kit! Concerning the details it left the weapons kit behind. Just look at the sway braces - they are not up to date. (e.g. Hobby Boss does it better: look at their Hornet series!)

Dear Paul, now I start worrying...no arrival of ordered items nor any answers from you according to my emails/PM! I ve payed in time by paypal, now more than a month ago. Sure, if you are busy, why don t you drop me a note? I will wait some more days until I ll get active at paypal to report this problem. I have only 45 days for doing this and I won t wait until day 46! So I hope I get any answer from you using this kind of messaging! have a nice sunday! -
ic, sorry to read that u ve had problems with mr. mark and his future! I had no problems with that combination. After futuring I make a wet polish with very fine mikromesh bevore applying decals. Yes, sure...don t safe to much of your gloss coat! hehe

wow, you do a very nice job! Making a lot out of the "simple" academy kit!! Will the canopy remain closed later? Ok, the decal fight...haven t you put on a layer of future? Do you use micro set and sol, and when this stuff does not work, the stronger Mr. Mark softer? They are always my friends when i apply decals and I get very good results! Btw. the aca tomcat s in my stash too...andI look forward modelling this kit! (hmmm...what first? tomcat or bombcat?)

fatto molto bene!! When I see your scooter, I really don t need a Hasegawa kit, the CA kit must be marvellous!!!

try UHU cyanoacrylat http://www.uhu.de/produkte/sekundenkleber....db59&step=0 it is written in german, but perhaps there s a translation or a UK site of UHU it is without the vaporing so that your clear parts may not get milky!

yes, that s what he asked before: it is a FG.1 or a FGR.2 ? Even FG.1 are used land based in RAF service and used the normal gear strut (e.g. the "black mike" is a FG.1, or sqn 111 used it or boscombe down - raspberry ripple). I would say it is the best hase kit of a phantom near the RF line! But you should use airwaves seats for the british Spooks (airwaves no. 7678). Of course you can upgrade your model with resin and PE stuff, but it depends on your taste and wallet! (aires pit and wheel wells, afterburners, Two Mikes wheels, flightpath rear cockpit ladder and front steps, dmold seamless s

VMFA-333 F-4S Phantom -Overall Gull Gray Scheme-
tobiK replied to jollyrogerf14's topic in Jet Modeling
well, your picture shows a F-4 J (hardwing). Very possible that it is upgraded to "S" standard. So far I remember the F-4J (UK), they were upgraded to "S" standard internally (more or less) in the States before delivering to UK 74sqn. How to realize building this modell? Perhaps take a J kit and add an S pit or eduard parts for a S. That s what I would do. -
uhh what a luck, I caught the last walkways maybe....erhhh...what about 1/48 F-4 gunfighters decal sheet!???? Hmmm....perhaps you found some under your carpet or behind the sofa!? I would give it a good home!! (and soon a converted hase F-4J kit for applying). PLEASEEE!!! BTW good luck for what ever you will do!!!

aires is top job! Because there are resin + PE parts included (not like black box...only resin). If you have doubts about seats: it is the martin baker Mk.7 seat, and note the colors for navy seats! (esp. the belts...u find some gorgeous pics at www.ejectionsite.com. I used these for painting my verlinden seats for my f-4j UK). If you think about using just resin seats and an Eduard color set: best fit in hasegawa pit is verlinden seats (exact the same size as Hase seats) or Legend production (there are seats with / without harness). Happy modelling and enough patience for the rescribing!

Hi, you ve got mail from me! Ship to Germany too? greets!! -
Hello Dimitri, nice to read that you open sale directly. For customers in Europe there s a bad situation: there s no good supply with your products, so I ordered some important items at victory models (ok, perfect deal!! A recommended seller!), but in addition to the expensive postage costs there are the European Import duties too!!! That makes your products really expensive here for us. Unfortunately you are not in bussiness with relishmodels from UK anymore. Any idea to solve this problem here? Perhaps to find a good hobby supplier here in germany? best regards!
-
true!!! Just look in the book "defenders of nippon" ...one spooky more gorgeous than the other!!! Problem will be in addition to solve the color problem...even if a FS color would match, they are not available from any supplier! Esp. the blue/blue grey colors :-( btw....whre can I find /order the sheet 48030? Esp. the spanish version would be exotic! Have you any homepage to look at?
