    This kit was an Israel version from Academy, i got it in a cheap price without decals and all weapons, and decided to turn this kit as a E version. Jet itself: academy kit, wings and front fuselage fit poor, I rescribe some panel lines, and add rivets. Bombs and missiles: Kinetic parts, IMO Academy weapons and pods are better fit and detail than kinetic. Decals: Bestfong decals, the film is thin and adhesive is good, but due to different colors, have to add layer and layers for one pattern. Here comes pics, hope you en

    One more Tomcat finished!! 20160826-IMG_3110 by Shiunhan Hou, on Flickr Hobby boss kit -------------------- Details of this kit is great, but fits not well, intake shape and the position of drop tank aren't look right, decals for missiles and bombs only in training paint scheme (with blue stripes not red and brown), overall shape can't compare with Hasegawa and Italeri kit, I can't tell where is wrong, but it just fell not right when look at this kit.     I do some research after seeing this reply, load two GBU-24 with diagonal position might be more realistic, but in real world , carry GBU-24 in action are rare, just load two GBU-31 or GBU-12 side-by-side. Thanks for the tip!

    To be honestly, it fits really bad, lots gap and poor detail, I think the only advantage that academy's f-14 has is movable wing,and fair price. you may try get one on ebay, but after dry-fitted it, you might want to put it on ebay next morning! :lol: :lol:

    Finish this cat couple days ago, 1/48 ACADEMY kit, poor fit and detail, only add some rivets and panel line. I'm not a big tomcat fan, built this one for "Practice", but after finish this one, I totally crazy for this beast! hope next Hasegawa and Hobbyboss cat can finish real good!
