  1. Good morning gents, some months ago i finished the Tamiya's awesome kit 1/32 spitfire. For this project i chose to depict the aircraft of John ''Agorastos'' Plagis, a Greek-Rodesian aviator who flew with RAF and become an Ace Some photoes of the build Cockpit Landing gear Propeller

  3. I will note it again, AMAZING MODELLING AND TUTORIAL!!!! Great skills Chuck, i admire your attention to every little detail. John
  4. Great work Chuck and very useful tips with the canopy. What if after the treatment with the tamiya polishing compounds dip the canopies into the future? Have you try that? And about the fumes, you can always use odorless CA glue, no fumes to worry about. Your builds are great tutorials my friend, thanks for sharing. John
  5. Good morning Shawn, well i am not so experienced but what i do: Either i do a pin wash, only in the panel lines, so i dont get white spirit around the model or if i want a dirty one i put the wash all over the wing for example, i let it dry completely so that there is no solvent and then i wipe the model without using any solvent. It takes me some time to remove the amount i want but i think it is safer this way. I forgot to tell you that i also use Future. Hope that helps a bit, John

    RAF mustang III

Good evening guys, can please some one tell me what was the color of the part of the flaps that was visible when the flaps were down on a RAF mustang III with the normal British camo? Was it unpainted aluminium or ZCY? Thanks, John

  14. Thanks Guys, i was thinking the same, my opinion is that something is going on not with the future but with the drying time of the Gunze. The same happened to a friend of mine but this time with Gunze gloss varnish over Gunze color. Things are worse when i used gloss paint, it never dryied completely...Dont know maybe i have to change paints, maybe Tamiya are better concerning drying times i mean, dont know. John
  15. Hi Guys, i want to post a problem a faced recently. I painted a model, 1/48 Tamiya P-47D with Gunze acrylics, gloss coated with future and finally sealed with Gunze flat coat. I thinned all the Gunze with the Leveling thinner and i left the colors to dry, before the future for 48 hours. What i faced is minor crackings, i cannot say if it is on the color or on varnish. Has anyone faced something similar? Is it due to Gunze drying time or the combination of Gunze with future? Waiting for your comments, John
