With a stash of almost 200 kits and a current build rate of ZERO a year, I am desperately looking to sell these items quickly to free up some space. I am not looking to make a profit or anything so send me your offers if you think my asking prices are too high. Shipping is not included and is at cost. I allow local pickup if you live near Brandywine MD. Sorry for not taking these photos sooner:

Ok the conversion set arrived today, my version converts the Airfix HH-53C into a MH-53E. In the set you get 7 drooping rotor blades, air intakes and housing for the third engine, complete new tail, outer sponson ends/caps (you have to make your own sponson bodies from plastic card) and you get a new main rotor hub & rotor linkages cast in white metal. The set is not bad, you get a fair amount of detail (mostly on the intakes, engine housing, rotor hub & tail) & very minor flash on some of the resin parts. I can post some photos of the contents if that helps.

I was able to purchase one a few days ago, I will post some photos & details once I receive it in the mail. Roberto, I believe the Scale Cast set only converts any 53 to the MH-53E variant, the CH version had different sponsons?

Walkaround photos from Andrews AFB airshow
Model-Junkie replied to 2qwik4u's topic in Research Corner
Thanks for posting those. I have live in Brandywine and work less than a min outside the Base's VA Gate but have yet to find time to go to -
I have not had chance to compare Hasegawa's MD-11 & L-1011 together but the Tristar is an older kit with raised panel lines. The doors have engraved outlines which look a tad bit deep and wide but they should look fine once you add a coat of paint.

E-Mail sent for the F-4 FGR.2, F-4K, F-16C & Beaufighter edit: saw the e-mail request -
circle c hobby is the only one to have in stock a discontinued model I am looking for. Their price is also reasonable. Does anyone know if they are reliable? They have no physical address listed and I do not find their website reassuring...

Thanks for posting the photos. I use to live near Stafford and the last time I went to Cosford was back in 2006. It looks like they have a lot of new exhibits up. Is that a new hangar in the last post? EDIT: corrected typo

Does anyone know if its possible to take the sponsons and aux fuel tanks from Italeri's CH-53D/HH-53C and graft it onto the MH-53E to make a CH-53E?
-
Just checked the ones in my stash, sorry to report that the smaller sponsons for the CH-53E are not included in the MH-53E boxing Edit for spelling

Revell MH-47E Item # 04480 reviews
Model-Junkie replied to BlackPanther's topic in Helicopter Modeling
Do all of the Italeri boxings have the incorrectly shaped rotorblades? -
I have 4 of the Revell Raptors, one of which has an un-tinted clear sprue.
-
Thanks to everyone who replied. I'll be going with the Hasegawa Starfighters as they easier to find and cheaper than the Revell versions.
-
I'm currently looking for a TF-104G in 1/72 scale. I've read up on the Hasegawa and Heller versions but I cannot find any info on the one released by Revell. Does anyone have any experience with this kit?

Its good to be back, here's whats been happening...

Thanks for sharing your experience, glad to read that you coped with the negative experiences & things are looking up for you. I was out of work for almost a year, I ended up volunteering on an almost daily basis just to keep busy. -
Yesterday around 4.00pm as I was leaving work I saw a USAF UH-1N flying very low towards Andrews AFB. Five minutes later I saw a VC-25 (not sure if the President was onboard) making its approach to land and another 10 minutes later I saw an E-4B also heading towards Andrews AFB. One of my best days this year and it was the first time I've seen an E-4B. I work right next to Andrews AFB and I hear planes taking off all day long. The only downside is that the room I am in has no windows! I also live close to Andrews so I get to see a lot of C-17s and KC-135s on an almost daily basis. One

Does anyone have any info on this upcoming kit? I accidentally came across this kit on the HLJ website. Looks like its supposed to come out some time this month. EDIT: Nevermind, looks like it was mentioned in this thread in April. Guess there is no further news about this kit.
