  1. I believe they are luneburg lens radar reflectors
  2. I refuse to go to the post office for anything other than to drop off packages. I print all of my shipping labels online but I get access to eBay shipping labels so I use that to my advantage. One up side to the USPS price increase is that you can now ship a 2 lb package internationally for $22.50 or to Canada for $15.50. Despite USPS asking for Canadian zipcodes, I have not witnessed different pricing for the areas I shipped to, unless they all happened to fall in the same zone. I only buy and sell 1/72 or smaller scale kits so I have not come across any sizing issues.
  3. Andre, Thanks for the response. I'll purchase the whole Wolfpak decal set if necessary but I am looking for just the DC ANG decals if possible. I have the markings from the Monogram kit but I am looking to build a plain vanilla DC ANG bird. Regards, Will
  4. Jin Air 737 flies for 40 mins before discovering partially open door Seeing as cars all have sensors indicating when a door is not shut properly, I would have imagined that an aircraft costing millions of dollars would have similar sensors. If there are such sensors in place, I am concerned how the flight crew did not notice prior to taxiing and take-off
  5. Wow, the kit looks beautiful! Airfix.com has them available for pre-order at $18.99 each
  6. It appears my Hasegawa 1/200 British Airways Tristar model kit is missing the instructions. Does anyone here have the kit and is able to provide me with a scan of the instructions? Thanks in advance, Will
  7. Sorry if this post break any rules. I have a whole bunch of Hasegawa 1/200 airliner model kits for sale here. I also have over a hundred decal sheets from Liveries Unlimited, DRAW Decals, FCM, Jet Decals etc that I need to go through and list.
  8. My overall stash exceeds 500+ kits so I really need to cut down and I am starting by letting go of all my 1/200 kits. All kits are brand new, most still have their parts still sealed in plastic bags and a few of the kits have had their bags opened due to loose parts and checking to make sure they were complete. Offers are welcome, shipping is extra and I ship worldwide. Payment is by paypal only unless its a local pickup then cash is preferred. Boeing: 727-200 kits are $10.00 each 737-200 kits are $8.00 [1 ANA boxing left] 737-400/500/700/800 kits are $12.00
  9. The Tie Interceptor is also my fav from the movie as it looks very sleek and aggressive compared to the standard Tie. The Tie Phantom and Tie Defender are my absolute favs from the video games. I wish styrene kits of these models existed.
  10. Another shout out to Nick. I bought a couple of kits from him and they arrived securely packed and in great shape. Cheers!
  11. I'm looking to purchase the F-16 DC ANG decals from the Wolfpak 72-057 sheet
  12. The F-22 Raptor CAD also shows the engine cart just like the Fujimi kit
  13. I culled my entire 1/72 WWII German aircraft and 1/200 airliner collection recently. I slowly gave up my WWII aircraft a few at a time but when it came around to the 1/200 airliners I just said to heck with it and just let it all go. My WWII interest now solely focuses on British aircraft and the airliner collection was kinda replaced with 1/400. Some kits sell just as well without the box but depends on the subject / how many people happen to be looking for said kit. The funds from selling my kits motivated me as it gave my modelling budget a slight boost to buy more models on subjects I'
  14. So I accepted a return from the buyer... I could've won the dispute as I did not violate eBay's money back guarantee policy or my own return policy but I did not want to risk a possible negative feedback. Plus the photos from the buyer showed that the parts were mostly clean and undamaged. Apparently the buyer used the wrong glue. From the residue it appears yellowish green in color and did not damage the parts in any way, it appears similar to white glue. The two fuselage parts are slightly misaligned in their natural relaxed state but when I actually pushed and clamped the halves together
  15. I'd like to give shout-out for StevenatorLTFO. I bought a kit from Steve and it arrived as described and securely packed. Cheers!
  16. Thanks for the responses. I am glad to see that most people will deal with the kit issue shown above rather than blame the seller, especially if the kit is new. Right now, the buyer has moved to asking for a full refund. I am communicating with eBay and hoping something amicable to both parties can be arranged. I will be adding this person to the Bad Trader section just as a heads up to other sellers / traders. This person is apparently a little knowledgeable about model kits as he knows of which brands have a perceived 'high' quality.
  17. Folks, Clinton Lein is from Riverside, CA. The main details are in this thread. Basically he bought a brand new and sealed kit from me, partially built the kit and then complained about fit issues. I personally believe its mostly a skill issue and the guy was demanding 75%-100% of the costs back from me. Very unreasonable, he does not accept any personal blame. Trade or sell to at your own peril.
  18. Here is the original photo of the kit: And this is a photo from the buyer of the supposed ill-fitment of parts or warping after he was able to unglue the parts: There are no signs of warping in my photo as the parts were still attached to the sprues and sealed with everything looking pristine. We've all come across duds regardless of brand and some issues are fixable. Had the buyer just opened the bag and dry fitted the parts I would've grudgingly accepted a return and either kept the kit for myself or sold to an experienced modeler who could correct the issue. For all I know, the buye
  19. Unfortunately it was a sale on eBay. If he does complain to eBay I am confident eBay will side with me as the buyer admitted that the item did not arrived damaged, it was still new and sealed and that he experienced problems after assembling the kit. I was hoping the buyer dry fitted the parts and complained, at least I could have salvaged and resold the kit but now.... The buyer is currently communicating and somewhat rational so I hope I can persuade him to take a partial refund (1/3 of original cost) and who knows, maybe join this forum for tips and advice to advance in this hobby!
  20. All, I need some advice on how to respond to a buyer. I sold a brand new Hasegawa 1/200 747-400 model kit; parts were still attached to the sprues and sealed in the clear plastic bag. I just received a message from the buyer saying the 2 fuselage halves do not fit together perfectly and he wants a refund. I am a little bit flabbergasted. How do I explain that this is the norm with building a model kit?? From the photos he sent me it looks like the parts were not glued which also explains why parts may not line up properly
  21. Sorry, I did not mean to imply that transporting paint is a TSA issue, just pointing out TSA will give you a hard time if its in your hand luggage. Per the TSA website, if the liquid or aerosol paint is non-flammable you may pack it in your checked luggage
