  1. A little more progress to show. Gear doors on, some of the weapons load attached, refueling door in open position. Getting close enough to see the finish line ahead.....
  2. Outstanding work. Did you use a clearcoat over the NMF? If so, what did you use?
  3. yep, guilty of the ole bait-and-switch!
  4. Yes sir! It's in that neck of the woods. Quite the reprieve from the hustle-and-bustle of Pinellas County!
  5. We put out some hamburger . . . . to distract him from the neighbor's daschund that was snoopy around at the time!
  6. Yeah, the fun part was being so close to the "flightline". I was no more than 8 feet from where he swooped in for the hamburger we put out on the table. Beautiful. Graceful. Magnificent.
  7. I was with some friends who live along the river in Nobelton, FL (about an hour Norht of Tampa) when we were treated to several close fly-bys from this guy:
  8. Love the tribute site, Brian. Very well done. Great photos all around. Love the range shots, especially, with the Hogs wallwoing in the mud!
  9. Yep, she's coming along like a dream. This one will affectionately be known as the "Holmes Hog". ;)
  10. Been working on some things that go "boom", getting the dark dirt wash applied, and getting this Hog on its legs. Where we stand:
  11. jaw-dropping good! Great job on that camo, and the textue on the bombs, the base . . . . just, W-O-W!!!
  12. Just a little decal teaser: got started on the decals tonight . . .beginning with the "business" end of the Hog!
  13. There were 211 models (IIRC), and about a half dozen or so vendors; not a lot, but there were still some good deals to be had. I added to my stash anyway. Heavy competition in the 1:48 jets and props. Pretty light in the 1:72 area, though. Overall a well-run show with some good raffle prizes to boot.....
  14. My 14-year-old son, Max, and I attended the "Wings, Wheels and Keels" model show/contest in Venice, FL today. He entered his first model in the Junior automotive - a 1996 Corvette - and won first place. I also got a first in 1:72 jets with my F-15C. Enjoy the pics. http://s111.photobucket.com/albums/n125/wa...mview=slideshow

  16. smokin' hot! I love it. Nicely done!
  17. 24-48 hours is a good curing time for the Future. After that mask away!.
  18. hehe, I'd take you up on that and put a bid in . . but I already have that sheet. That's option number 1 on my short list. . . . Nice try, though!
  19. Looks nice. I always liked the look of the AV-8As - they really do look bird-like.
  20. Message sent . . . please update me on what's left so I can make an offer. . . .
  21. Tough choice on this Gray Hog: 1) Shark mouth "FT" 2) Barksdale Dogpatchers "BD" 3) Arkansas Razorback "FS" I'm still waffling, but will have to make up my mind soon. I've got the preshading done and the Light Ghost Gray applied. Next comes the Dark Ghost Gray and then the Future coat in preparation for decaling. Decisions . . . decisions . . .
