  1. Revell has/had a 1/144 DC-10 / KC-10. I have the bundle with the F-15 According to Scalemates, new tool in 1972, the last release was in 1999. No idea about availability of the various releases though.
  2. Old topic, and you probably went with RLM 66 anyway. But according to THIS table, these two colours were indeed the same. Foremost, it is dedicated to the WW2 Luftwaffe modeler. However, it is a fascinatingly comprehensive piece of information for anybody interested in the matter of paints, and I strongly recommend printing it out for future reference.
  3. To either side of the large portion of the walkways...
  4. It's not on the images Kursad posted on page 2 of this thread, but I have the decals before me. On the black colour sheet, there are two "70"s. You have to cut the last two digits from the "11369" and replace them with the 70s.
  5. Thanks Kursad. Just to let you know that the interest is still there. The Monogram B-36 that I bought almost 40 years ago is still lurking under my bed, lol
  6. Any news on this one? By the way, here's a comparison photo of portions of Roden's and Caracal's NB-36 decals. No competition there...
  7. Not a complaint, simply a heads-up: I just ordered four of your decal sheets, to be sent to Germany. Shipping "International Economy" was US$ 12. Your homepage states "As of February 2020, it costs $7.50 for up to 2 decal sheets, and $9 for more than two". You may want to update that information 😀
  8. Kursad, I'm having an eye on your German retailer to list the 144020 sheet. Did you manage to send your newest batch of decals to the retailers before your holidays? When can I expect them to appear on their site? I'm not in a hurry to get them, but I don't want them to sell out as I can't check them 24/7...
  9. Please forgive my nitpicking, but the number I see on the tail fin is not 60-0036 but "10021", which would make it 61-0021?
  10. I have This boxing of Revell's 1/144 B-52H in my stash, still in the original cellophane wrapper. Is this kit any good?
  11. I found the following photo on this page LINK (A German language page by a former Luftwaffe mechanic, covering every aspect of the German F-104s). It shows a fellow mechanic of his who was stationed at Nörvenich in the 1960s. I've yet to come across a better-quality image of the emblem though...
  12. Please excuse my ignorance, but may I ask what these "problem areas" are?
  13. These links are shamelessly copied from Caracal's own page: Aero Spezial Modellbauversand (Germany) Martola Model Shop (Poland)
  14. Here's a "GANG" (lol), with a spectacular sharkmouth to boot:
  15. I'm not into the details either, but I think that the UK have overdone it a bit with their import tax regulations. The EU are closely behind, but still manageable. I'm not sure about other EU countries, but Germany, where I am, does now collect import tax for everything that enters the country. I order a fair bit of stuff from Japan, so I consider myself somewhat seasoned. In the past (i.e. before July 2021) it could happen that some shipments slipped by under the radar. Other times (rather often, actually) one had to pick up parcels at one's local customs office, providing proof o
  16. Am I seeing things, or is this Lady flying with three of her rotor blades removed? Amazing...
  17. Please excuse my noob question. Now that CD48203 is out, which current kits are most suited to model the particular airfames, A-10C and F-16C, without (or as few as possible) modifications?
  18. What sort of weather is that this time of year????
  19. Not mine, but interesting all the same: https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/mainly_military/classic-kit-hawk-1-48-t-33-1958-t12539.html A build of an ancient Hawk T-33 using Caracal decals
  20. My bad! Please excuse my ignorance. Kindly disregard my previous post >_<
  21. You could simply paint the inside of the canopy. But depending on the thickness of the model's canopy itself, this could look out of scale. Safe bet would be, like Collin said, to accentuate the area with a gloss coat.
  22. Like the B-25 pictures, this is photographed from the book "Peace Was Their Profession - SAC: A Tribute", authored by Mike Hill, John M. Campbell & Donna Campbell, Schiffer Publishing, ISBN 0-88740-688-2 I have the impression that the stars in the left picture have a different design. They are sized more alike than those in the right picture. Moreover, the left B-47 sports the fully spelled-out UNITED STATES AIR FORCE, indicating an earlier incarnation of the SAC sash maybe?
  23. The following pictures are from the book "Peace Was Their Profession - SAC: A Tribute", authored by Mike Hill, John M. Campbell & Donna Campbell, Schiffer Publishing, ISBN 0-88740-688-2 It's for a good cause, but if anybody feels these violate the copyright, please delete this post. I've simply photographed them from the book, but if you need better quality images (such as they are), message me and I'll see if I can scan them without breaking the book's spine. Below is 44-31464 The following is 44-88700 (The second photo is just to show that
  24. Like Scotty said: "A keyboard? How quaint!" lol
