  1. Never seen this...winds moving rudders. If you have seen the wind move the rudder (CF-188 Ops on ground - should have made that clear, no naval Ops here)...my bad, you're right, my apologies to ALF and Rightwinger26. Locking pin...is for the wing fold electrical mechanism, locks the wing fold and the ailerson is locked in place(A/B versions) mechanically (unless the mech locks are broken) but where I'm confused is when they hit the TEF...the TEF must be in the up position and the wings folded? Kool, never seen that. Horz stabs with wind will move, never disputed that, but they will settle (
  2. Wrong. Rudders don't tend to blow where the wind pushes them. The Flight Control Systems, without going into much detail, tells the rudder where to be, then with residual Hyd pressure left in the system may push them, depending on where the shuttle valve in the Hyd actuator, will let the pressure bleed off, thus the final position of the flight control. OR, where the tech pushes them for maint reasons, or simply to move them for a better visual inspection. This is true for all flight controls, TE Flaps included - may drop over time due to hyd bleed off, LE flaps excluded. The horz stabs sit b
  3. Nice work...I like the finished worn look.

  5. 929 - If I remember correctly, I'll confirm.
  6. As a current Maint Supr on the Hornet...I think it looks good. A model company, no matter which one it is will never, ever, ever get it exactly right: 1. Modifications do not always affect a fleet, allot of the times a single aircraft. - Some panels do not exist on all aircraft even tho they are of the same LOT number form the production line. - Some Mods maybe not completed as the time line to complete Mod are over a very long period of time. - Damage to a particular ac may have had a Mod to strengthen/repair due to in incident/fatigue etc. - There maybe an approved repair/m
  7. I think you mean a Canadian CF-188 aka F/A-18A. Looking forward to your impressive small scale modelling, incredible!
  8. Thanks for the info...I tried google, ARC Forums. Searched Hi and low. No Luck. I haven't tried evil bay tho...Maybe someone will see this and maybe start a line? In the end there is no current retailer with stock of a 1/48 Pod. I'll have to try and find the Has Weapons D box...ugh.
  9. I'm looking for resin 1/48 scale ACMI/CUBIC/P4 pods...as there are differences between them all. But I just want to hit all the names so maybe someone can tell me where they can be located. Maybe there are some in some ac kits?
  10. Well DONE! And grats on the award, well deserved.
  11. Incredible! Nice work, glad you decided to post!
  12. Love the subject, and the markings. Is that a light ghost grey (ish) color?
  13. Love the colors! My Sgt used to work on them, he likes to call them (CP-140) the sleek greyhound of death. I call it a target...LOL. Nice build.
  14. Wow, wonderful subject and well done! Where is this based out of? China Lake?
  15. Thanks Colin. The BRU-55 worked well, wasn't really happy with the "feet". I used the spare "feet" from the kit box. It is a good representation of the actual item and the JDAMs are nice.
