The Booster rockets are what push the Shuttle up and out of the Atmosphyer. Once the booster's separate the shuttle is already in space. The Engine's on the shuttle don't need to be as powerfull in space since there is no gravity and no friction. With Earth's rotation and the thrusters the shuttle can do the speed it need... 17'000 mile per hour. It does not need to go any faster than that.

Tim Allen was ask but he turned it down. I have been watching the development of this show for a while. They even wanted to air it on the discovery channel. But they <the producers who who were bring the show to the US> knew they would screw it up. So they tried Speed network but the speed network wanted to change it around and make dry. History liked the show they stayed with it. I am watching this show on TLC called Extreme Couponing. Why does this not work for Modeling??? These people buy stuff that could cost up 1200.00 and with all the coupons they end up paying as low as $50.00. i wish this could work for other things like modeling. Don't you?
