  1. Too bad it was not there for the CONA on Saturday. There are two flight worthy examples left, 144865 (N875RS) (shown) and 144825 (N878RS), both at Raytheon Flight Services, Van Nuys, Ca. The A-3 Skywarrior Whidbey Project is trying to get 144525 to NAS Whidbey for a static display. http://www.a3skywarriorforwhidbey.org/
  2. Blue Angel F-18 lost an engine, it was parked in the VAQ-34 hangar for the next few days after the airshow. We thought it was funny, the Blues Maintenance Master Chief didn't agree.
  3. B-52G parked on the VAQ-34 line (NAS PT Mugu) during a weekend break in an exercise, 1988. Our squadron logo was the red star. Aircraft commander was not happy come Monday am, the Crewchief thought it was funny.
  4. VAQ-34 KA-3B 138944 GD 220 (now on board the USS Lexington) tanking a PMTC A-6E while a PMTC TA-7C waits. After a Harpoon missile shoot, 1989.
  5. These will be up for a while. You can find larger images of a few of them here:

  7. VAQ-132 no longer has that colored CAG bird, it's now low vis. I posted up pictures of VAQ-138's EA-18G CAG bird in another thread. I'll post them here too (along with a low vis bird)..
