  1. Thanks Emvar and thank you very much Niki, again, for your help.
  2. 'Allo 'allo Litvyak. It so happens that I started to build a ICG Catalina about 20- 30 years ago. It was the 1/72 Airfix kit. As a matter of fact I still have it............. Unfinnished! Thanks for your help Hajo. Though we only saw thumbnails. Thank you again Niki. I laughed when I saw your explainations! Great stuff. So now I need to see if I can do it. I also see now what I was doing wrong when I said above that the pictures opened in ACDSee. Thanks Phantom. PS Yeehaaa. It worked!! Thanks Niki for your clear and usefull guidence
  3. Thanks for the info Niki. I´ll try and see what happens............. Oops. When I do as you say The picture opens in ACDSee, my photo program, but not on the web. So what you talk about isn't workig for me. I did how ever notice that the format you talked about was in the lower sequence I tried to use. So here I go again. Lets see if the pics show up now. Here is the inside of the right side off the choper. Evergreen sheet styrene has been put in to fill in a depression and a lead foil to make a pocket in the door. There should be cutter on the rear bulkhed of the cabin. I made a mould f

  8. Hi. I'm a slow builder. But there are some progress on my ICG Dauphin. I have some bad pictures I took a few years ago. I also contacted the ICG and they sent me a few pictures. So I know how it should look like on the inside. I'm making a strecher out of wire, made a shelf cabinet in the rear, made a cuter from a Tiger tank. There should be a fur cover on the pilot seats so I'm using a "fury" paper to make that. I also got Martin Baker seatbelts from Airwaves. They are near to the look of the originals. I just found out that Eduard makes PE set for the Dolphin (US Coast guard) that I´m goin

    Kubelwagen

Hi you all. I just compleated a diorama of an kubelwagen and three figures from ICM. The barrel and the jerrycan are from Tamiya and I scratchbuilt the pump in the barrel. This is the first time I try shadow and high lighting on figures. I need to get more practice on the faces. But I think they came out ok. This was also the first time using weathering powders. They're from Doc O'Briens. The base is a piece of lava Here is a link to it. I hope you like it. Best regards Grétar W. G.
  11. Hi. I have the Italeri kit no. 169 (some pictures of the kit) and it's quit nice, I think. It does not have paised panel lines, as some say above. Maybe a new kit. It has three pc seat and nice cockpit etc. However I havn't assembeled so I can't say how it goes together. You can get it from Hannants for 13.43 Euros.I did however get the nossles from Aires that is made for the Hase F15, and it fits well. I've tried one of them. Best regards Grétar W. G. :wave:/>/>

  15. Hi ya all I just put some pictures on Flickr from a hike I did last September. We went on Mt Fagradalsfjall (Fagra-dals-fjall / Beautyfull-Valley-Mountain) where three planes crashed on and around in WWII. One british, a Short Sunderland Mk.I N9023 "KG-G" from 204 squadron RAF. It crashed early morning of 24th April 1941. Three of the thirteen man crew died in the accident. One, P/O. J. Dewar copilot, helped his fellow crew memembers out of the burning wreckage and walked about 20 km (over 12 miles) over rough lava to a near village to get help. This was the second crash site we hiked to. Th

  17. Hi I'm interested to take part in this GB. But not with a model I built as a kid. I do how ever have the old Revell Lancaster in my stashthat I would like to build. With all those rivets showing and working flaps and slats and the undercaridge. I am planing to build it OOB and brush painting it. Just for the fun of it and in the memories of those simple times. So, is that ok? Best regards Grétar W. G.
  18. Hi guys. Sorry for how long I'm answering you. Thanks for all your help. Unfortunatly I didn't have time to go to the Aviation Mega Store. One of the staff in the hotel I stayed at knew about it when I asked how to get there. He goes there to buy stuff and he also said it was a good shop. He's in painting. Jeele. The DC-3 isn't used to carry people. It was used to spread seeds for land reclaimation for many years and it still has the silo in it that was used under the seeds. There is also some problem with the authorities regading the changes that need to be done to it. But it will be changed
  19. Thank's for the info guy's It's just when I go abroad I want to try to find some hobby shops that have stuff that I can't get over here. I looked at the above mentioned shop's website and they seem to have some stuf for me. 1/48 & 1/72 figures etc. I'll just have to see if I´ll have time to go to them. Also the Militaire Luchtvaart Museum looks interesting. Again, thank you Grétar W. G.

  21. Hey Ken We don't have much cash these days but plenty of ash. But I recon that's not the same thing?! :) Here are some pictures from the erouptin on Fimmvörðuháls I took three weeks ago. Tomorrow or on Saturday I'll put in some pictures I took over the Easter weekend of what was then a new crater. Here you can see live video of the eruption. Well in the daylight. They are expecting northerly winds over and after the weekend so that may change things. TheFlyingDutchman: Yes this is a small eruption compared if Katla showes her big teeth! Grétar W. G.
  22. Great little gem. I still would like to get my hands on that Kettenkrad! :P Grétar W. G. :)
